  1. Please keep us updated with your findings and results!
  2. I think it's an early bird thing. So to encourage to get one as fast as possible!
  3. 2.5k is still not possible on NX1? Along with full e-shutter for stills? Thx.
  4. Mercer, I never said that. For now, there is not, but that does not mean that it will never be. As I said, perhaps canon will have one in few years from now. I am indeed looking at both canon and nikon, hoping they'll create one decent nx1 replacement, for when I'll need it. I guess your post did not add much to the discussion about m5, anyway.
  5. As said elsewhere, Canon in late 2016 is less or at most equal to Samsung in late 2013 (with NX30). We can only hope that in few more years (say 2-3) they'll have a mirrorless product comparable with NX1. And in other 2-3 (that's 4-6 from now) something that will be better than NX1.
  6. Do you have some sample to show this? Thx.
  7. The gh4 could already do 10bit at 4:2:2 from hdmi, with no big gains over internal 8bit, as several reports stated.
  8. But rolling shutter is much worse, so for fast moving subjects fhd may be better.
  9. Latest update to the page on github is about one month old. I remember he said he was going to be away on august. We'll see...I hope he will give us something new!
  10. I guess 6k is going to become pretty standard for high end hybrid camera out in 2017 and 2018. I'm sure that itd be already possible on nx1 if Samsung had continued its support via fw updates.
  11. 120mb is definitely too low for nx1 with the hack, which easily reaches 160-180mb.
  12. It's random - from our perspective - since you don't know when it happens, but the same would apply to a movie, before you watch it, if you don't read about it in advance.
  13. I have fury pro since sep 2015. Great card!
  14. Still images in raw are good at those iso. So the issue is video.
  15. Some say that captured footage is same at 0-255 or 16-235, but just rendered differently when played back. So you should not lose info by shooting at 16-235, you just instruct the player on how to read the same information.
  16. I always use 16-255, as per andrew's instructions.
  17. Yes, the nx scene has never been so interesting as now (that the system is on stall).
  18. carlic, yes. For example, adapter mk IV from metabones, canon to sony, is very fast focusing.
  19. The price is totally fair, IMO. As already said, though, I won't be buying a dumb speedbooster (or a dumb adapter, btw). What I'd really want, and I'd be ready to spend 300-350€ on it (if well built and decently fast), is a SMART ADAPTER (non speedbooster) for canon glass, so to be able to use a 300-400mm lens for my NX1 and use it with af, aperture and ois.
  20. I still hope that, somehow, hackers will bring 4:2:2 and above all 10bit to internal recording. The nx1 is a powerful computer and imo has the hw possibilities for doing this.
  21. Depends on needs. I'm more than satisfied with lenses ranging from 16f2 to 150f2.8. I could not have afforded the 300f2.8 :-) But I could buy a sigma 300mm, if an intelligent adapter will be done.
  22. Yep, they are probably incompetent.
