  1. You must use S lenses to get the most out nx1 af: 50-150 is outstanding.
  2. I get far better pics with nx1 and s lenses than from most ff cameras I use(d). You just have to shoot raw and know how to pp your pics. The latitude is amazing. I now shoot almost always at iso 100 and pull in post. Here the nx1 destroys any canon and is competitive with d5 and a7r. Besides af is the best I ever used, on par or better than d4 (again, you must know how to use it) and for sure better than any sony, including the a6300, which compared to nx1 is a toy camera imo.
  3. Yep, that's why I want the intelligent adapter. I'm more a still shooter, after all.
  4. What about konica hexanon? They have some nice lenses, easy to find cheap.
  5. Great, Luca! As soon as you build an adapter with af and ois enabled, I'll buy for sure!!!!
  6. Yep, hence basically for normal dr.
  7. I saw them as well. Are they for nx1 or nx500?
  8. Yes, nx1 - IS - fantastic, even if you'll find ppl, mostly that never even tested it, who will tell you different things.
  9. Not sure about your needs. Check videos from nx1, there are plenty.
  10. In few words, a speedbooster makes all your ff lenses behave on apsc as they would on a ff sensor. Both in terms of bokeh, light, and fov.
  11. Vaga, that's what also ihkim stated. Unfortunately he does not seem to be working on the project anymore. He had both the technical and 'manufacturing' skills to create the intelligent adapters, imo.
  12. I'm not an ingeneer, but...if ihkim could control BOTH nx AND ef with arduino, then couldn't a conversion be done among the protocols?
  13. I didn't notice that, I'm downloading it right now. Thanks!
  14. I remember that ihkim had already built something like a converter using arduino. He said that he could even create a dedicated chip for that. The only question mark was the power source, he was unsure if he could get the power from the NX1 or if external power (i.e. batteries) would have been required.
  15. I want intelligent adapter since: 1) no nx lens above 200mm 2) I use camera mainly for stills 3) I want af and ois I prefer canon since: 4) many friends have canon, zero have Nikon 5) I really like long canon tele lenses
  16. again, for video dumb SB are perfect. For stills, they are not, at least most of the times.
  17. I agree that contrast has not to be touched, but imo gamma dr gives...the best dr, along with a mbl set at zero. Dunno about the green shift. ooc I get the best when it's actually set at 0.95x.
  18. great! please also release one profile based on EOShd suggested settings (0.95 on the green channel, gammaDR). Most are using these settings to get good colors ooc and great dr.
  19. shane, the intelligent adapter has to be integrated into speedbooster for several reasons. Mainly, distance from sensor and light leaks. I'm mainly a stills shooter, and long lenses are lacking for nx. If I wanted to use then manually, I'd already have bought a pentax k 300mm and the dumb adapter which sells since 2010 for nx. Speedbooster (even the dumb manual one) will be a great step forward for video, but I will prefer an intelligent one 100:1.
  20. I'm not (much) interested in the iris control, but in af. I want to use 300mm+ lenses from canon for stills on my nx1. ihkim showed that this is feasible. One only needs to implement this ;-)
  21. Luca, you really need somehow to build also the intelligent speedbooster. I see many, many ppl interested into it.
  22. shane, do you think there is an easy way to correct cineconvert 'backwards'? I mean, taking the green back to normal levels, considering that nx1 profile lowers it?
  23. Nope. I tested it on the footage I already had, which was shot with A's settings. Is there a way to 'correct' this on existing footage? Fc has several profiles for nx1, one of which is gamma dr (the most similar one to A's).
  24. I have indeed green at 95, as per andrew's instructions.
