A steam train visited Sydney for Easter so it was fun to capture some video of it.The day was overcast so didn't use any ND filters. The lens is an clunky old AF-S 24-85 non VR that needs persuasion to get past a notch at 50mm

sorry about the confusion the adaptor and cross section with dimensions posted on Thursday is for a camera with a PL mount and the adaptor will therefore take the older standard lenses.Adapting the other way is more difficult

Yes it was done in the past called a "PL hard front conversion" but for the amount of film you intend standard mount lens hire would be easier.

"See through you we can" Even Their opening frame looks like click bait, and the content just adds to decline of reputation.Tony "North by Northwest" bagged out Nikon years ago when it was obvious he was being wined and dined by Canon.Go Tony fade into your background blur. -

If they make an adaptor for Nikon Z is it likely to be PL mount ? At 33 secs he says PL lenses don't cover a full frame sensor so you are limited to APS-C crop mode .Hopefully M42 to PL and Nikon F to PL will give full frame coverage -
most of these cameras were used with film in the academy ratio which had a sound track taking up some of the film.the image size is very close to APS-C.Super 35 did away with the sound track allowing for a larger image on the same size film.

There is a large number of adaptors to PL as the throat inner diameter is 54mm but the older standard mount is only 41 mm here is the ARRI standard to PL adaptor
-
some of the lens rental companies have ARRI standard mount for hire.Adam Savage from "Mythbusters "& explode a car ! has one of these cameras they have just had it serviced and will be filming on it soon.Kodak was kind enough to give them free film stock.

Looks like you are seeking 35mm ARRi standard mount .Many of these standard mount lenses have been modernised to PL mount, however there are still standard mount lenses around and more affordable than the same lens in PL.This one is US $850. There is also a 28mm in Schneider and Cooke Speed Panchro 18mm,25mm,32mm,40mm,50mm,75mm
