  21. The incompatibility with other lens brands due to the long "F mount" flange distance is also vanquished,there are some great old manual focus lenses Minolta,Pentax,Miranda ,M42 mount etc
  22. Their new 50mm F1.8 Z is far from being a simple design,even compared to the 2011 release G which was a significant step forward from the old film era AFD lens.
  23. And generally less vignetting and better edge resolution than the F1.8. lens.
  24. Nikon's new 50mm f1.8 Z is 12 elements in 9 groups including 2 ED glass and 2 aspherical elements should spank Canon's current 50mm f1.8 which appears to be the same optical design as their 1987 "film era" basic six elements in five groups.
