  1. I see a lot of videos of people using gimbals and I often notice very "violent panning". I do not know if you know what I mean. it's like if the panning movement It goes a bit 'jerky, it's fluid but not gentle.
  2. thx for reply. for gimbal I mean something motorized like this. did you mean the same?
  3. thx for help, if for example I mount this kind of follow focus on my canon 50mm f1.8 + 3axis gimbal? maybe the canon 50mm focus ring is so light that if I try to focus it will not make the camera shake... anyone of you has ever tryed something like this? I'm sorry if my questions seems stupid, the main problem is that I invested all I had on the canon 7D (recently I bought also the VAF filter for raw video) and I can't buy a second expansive camera. when I work I do not earn enough money so I didn't already payed back the investment of my actual gear. I hope the gimbal could give a new dimension to my works so that maybe my economic problems will change a little bit. that's all why I ask maybe impossible things.
  4. it's a bad idea to buy a gimbal for this camera, right? please someone tell me something...
  5. is it impossible to use focus when using a gimbal? thanks
  6. may you suggest to me which gimbal is better to get for my old 7D? and does exist a diy or cheap solution for follow focus when using the gimbal? thanks
  7. I'm sorry I didn't got it yet, so the true tiff format can keep inside all that extra informations such as white balance, exposure? tiff is better than raw for image quality? thx
  8. If I convert raw pictures (from a canon or nikon dslr) ...convert it to .tiff file does it preserve the extra info such as the white balance and the exposure? I mean the ones you can change in post production. thx
  9. Talking about Benro S8, Manfrotto 504, and Sachtler Ace M & L, when you pan.. at the end of the movement... does it tend to go back a little bit with the movement? or the end of the movement it stops completely motionless? thanks
  10. I wish to avoid aretacts... is 10 bit is enough for color grading and color correction/luts? or we need 12 bit? thanks a lot.
  11. I found it on the manual! stereo cable needed. lol guys which volume do you set in manual mode on your 7D? I'm doing some tests and it seems better to have it very very low on camera (I left it higher on the zoom H6 and output level). I need to do more tests anyway.
  12. lol ok! XD maybe I have not explained myself very well. watch this picture this jack have 3 parts, one of them of for the mic. is different from a stereo jack (composed by only 2 parts).
  13. I need to export a video for TV, it's a music videoclip. I wish to ask you at which volume should I normalize the song? thanks a lot

    Mantra Mania

there is a dark shadow top head corners/hair that in my opinion should be light/brighten up and maybe colored (this case warm light maybe) p.s. here on eodhd the mantra seems to be sony, canon, blackmagic, arri.... XD
  16. thx I saw I can create open subtitles also in premiere I'll try it.
  17. I need help to find a right workflow please. I will probably start soon to edit a documentary where people speech in arabic dialect. I can not understand that language so I will probably need someone that can help me to translate everything. Probably hours of footage. The best workflow that I can imagine (but I'm really open to your advices because it's the first time I do this specific job) is to translate everything and add the subtitles in my language over the video so it will be very simple to watch the footage by myself and start to edit. I mean that tha translator guy will speech and I will add subtitles in real time. This process must be fast and fluid. The problem is that I really do not know which software is better to use to add subtitles in a very fast way. I use premiere but it looks really slow for this job. With premiere I use to create "new titles" and writing over there, its very slow I can't use this thechnique. what do you think? I need something that can split automatically the words in excess over the video to another frame (that frame the subtitles automatically over the images). Can you suggest me a software please? thanks so much.
