  1. This actually look really good! I like the music too. Did you do work in post to minimize breathing compared to the previous core DNA or is breathing improved in the ProtoDNA? Is this going to replace the coreDNA? The link of your write up doesn't work.
  2. Are you powering the camera via the 12V DC input? I can't really see from the picture but what battery is that?
  3. I like the Zhiyun weebill lab for it's small size, shape and weight. It would have been my perfect gimbal for the P4K if it balanced without counter weights and if the video transmission function worked with the P4K (This camera will benefit quite a lot from that functionality without it's tilted screen). But clearly at it's currently state it's not a match for the P4K. Zhiyun have to redesign or make a version for that camera. At this point it's either the more bigger Zhiyun crane 3 lab, Ronin S or Moza air 2. Moza air 2 is the cheapest of all 3 and so far works with the P4K. I hope Zhiyun can make a version of the weebill lab for P4k soon!
  4. Video of the BMPCC 4K on the Moza Air 2 and the Moza iFocus. My only issue with it is, the gimbal by it self weighs 1.5kg!! Who's selling this with the free Moza iFocus?
  5. Yah referring to the electronic vari ND. I was wondering same thing too, and maybe it's some exclusive Sony tech. I still hold some hopes that Sony is gonna surprise us and include it in the up coming A7S III.
  6. My understanding is the Creator package has just a controller but the Master Package has the CMF-04 servo follow focus with the controller.
  7. I don't know why they will say that too as I am eying this gimbal for the P4K especially with their follow focus. I guess I will keep waiting and see if that's possible when the gimbal get's released.
  8. You are right, fast glass on APS-C can produce the FF look. But I have used MFT, APS-C, and full frame cameras to shoot on many different projects. My favorite photos were those taken on full frame, I found myself liking that look a lot.
  9. Very true, that will be a great product especially for the BMPCC4K! I will pay them even the $1300 for that. But my guess is the high price they will have to charge for it might not generate enough sales.
  10. Got it! I was talking about the vari ND thinking that's what you were referring in your original post. I have been researching their current vari ND and I hope they also have a new version coming or in the works to address some of it issues. Even though I don't have one, I know I will appreciate it's ease of use especially as I always shoot on location in really sunny environments. How I wish a camera manufacture will include vari ND in the body of a mirrorless body.
  11. IBIS for my needs is a nice to have because I will always have my camera on a gimbal for when I need moving shots. I actually have a GH5s that will be working alongside the BMPCC4k. But for stills, I will never again use a MFT sensor. APS-C is the least I will go but then again, I like the full frame look after using the D750 and A7III. I consider a good hybrid camera one with good stills and video, which I will also be able to add some flashes for still. I was even considering the Panasonic S1 but I wouldn't be able to know exactly what it will offer including test footage at best until May - June 2019. That will be too long for me.
  12. For me I am will have this camera for when I want to shoot in a controlled environment or when I can afford to frame and reframe my shots or do a retake. My dilemma now is whether I keep my Nikon Z6 preorder or go for XT-3 with the 16-55 f2.8 lens. But then again, I really like full frame look. I want a good hybrid camera for when I am not using the BMPCC4k, which is going to be a lot.
  13. Is this picture of the new version? From the video below, you could also adjust the 1st version on the interface unit and also the grip so I am not very sure what's new on this version 2. Plus their website says $699 and if you click on the Buy Now link, it takes you to buy it for $249, at least for their US store.
  14. Did you confirm this? I was looking at picking up the 0.64xl version. If the 0.58 really works then I will be looking at buying that instead and pair with Canon 24-105.
  15. This guy talks about the core SWX Powerbase Edge in this video.
  16. Does anyone knows how much current this camera draws when not using a SSD via the USB - C?
  17. The camera shuts off with two LEDs on the battery still on? With the 47Wh battery that you're using, I was hopping that it should get at least 2 hours of record time. I am working on a similar solution but instead use this and the Blackmagic DC power pack when ever I can get one and run power via the 12VDC and still have my canon LP-E6 battery in the camera too.
  18. I have reached out through the contact on his website. It's being over a week, haven't heard anything.
  19. Where can I find the Rectilux DNA or something comparable?
  20. Hi guys, I recently found a treasure, a kowa B&H 2x locally at a camera store in good condition and price. (It was still actually in it's original case) I am looking for a single focus anamorphic adapter. Where can I find the Rectilux or something comparable? Also any recommendations for something different?
  21. I just got notification that they shipped mine too!! It would have being nice if they went out of their way too and ship mine to get here tomorrow too. Will be getting mine next Wednesday.
  22. I wonder how many units B & H received and is shipping out this first batch, did you asked?
  23. From what I heard listening to the press announcement, that dpreview statement is inconsistent with that the Panasonic image head was talking about. Watch the video again starting from 12.85min point till when he starts talking about lenses. But a quick summary from what I got 1) Image quality without compromise, Still and video 2) Direct quote: "On top of 4k 60p, it will never disappoint on it's video performance" 3) Direct quote: "Professional Performance - we will realize the industry highest performance essential item for photography and videography 4) S1 - For next generation hybrid photo and video creators 5) Direct quote: "We will try to expand the possibility to meet the [i didn't catch what word he said here] requirements for a professional photographer and videographers I don't believe that at the very minimum, Panasonic will not bring all it's great video features/functions from the GH5 to S1R and S1. That will be very foolish if they didn't do that but the press announcement to me points to a very capable stills and video camera. I wasn't expecting this press announcement to go deep with details and prices as I am sure they don't have a working functional body yet. Plus I am sure they intentionally want to have people guessing what it will or will not have. My biggest issue now is do I keep my Z6 pre-order or still get the Z6 but later sell it if the S1 turns out to be a great hybrid camera with great video AF....hmmmm. It's already going to have 4k 60p, which the Z6 will not. Between the Z6 and S1, which one turns out to have full frme 4k (which the Z6 has) and great video AF will be my hybrid camera of choice except the Sony A7S III comes with 24MP and great hybrid camera.
  24. I was just about to post to ask those more knowledgeable than I that is possible to for the AF on the Z6 to be programmed to work the same as the Z7 using the less focus points on the Z6 sensor? You're right, I am sure it will depend if the Z7 is processing data from all the focus points in full frame video. If Nikon is smart (which they were not very with the way they role out the Z6 & 7 announcements) they will have their people who have Z6s sent out more videos about the Z6 in the coming days especially as we're waiting for in 5 days for the Panasonic FF
  25. Yah, but if it will be able to be implement on different manufactures cameras and other NLEs, how's that going to help with that?
