  1. Because it's licence free other manufacturers should be able to implement it on their current or future cameras? If it's licence free and open source so other NLE will be able to implement it, what does BM stand to gain? This will definitely make me keep my BMP4K pre-order.
  2. My only issue is who it paying for them to be there? I am pretty sure us the consumers are paying for it. I am pretty sure these camera companies factor in that extra cost in the final cost of the camera.
  3. I will take a great looking image with great skin tones any day over good spec sheet. As far as I am concerned, Sony can put the best tech in the A7S III but if it's still classic color science and skin tones, then my search for a new camera hybrid camera will continue. I pre-ordered the Z6 and I look forward to first trying out the Z7 to see how I will like or not the Z6. I am keeping my eyes opened on the up coming Fuji XT-3. Canon, I am not holding my breath!
  4. What is the actual battery life of this camera, any one knows? I just watched an event hosted by B&H and they are saying way more than the 330 shots.
  5. Come August 23rd I think two things will happen A) More orders for the A7III will go in or B) Lots of people will be waiting to pre-orders the Nikon (what ever the name will be) I am one of those people waiting to decide and I hope Nikon brings something to the table worth competing with the A7III especially in the video department. Great times!
  6. It's funny two weeks ago I was about to place an other for the Sony A7 III after buying the EOSHD Pro Colors and trying it out on a rented A7 III. I started hearing about 2 Nikon mirrorless camera coming out. I decided to put my order on hold to see what Nikon will bring to the table. I love the Nikon color science but one thing is gonna be my deciding factor; AF options especially video auto focus. In my opinion Nikon has to bring it at least close to Sony to convince more people (at least me) to consider what they are offering. The D750 is my go to camera for most of my work (Stills) but after trying the A7 III, the light weight with the lenses I used and AF was what made me ready to order mine to replace the D750 and be my hybrid camera especially for travels.
  7. I said it! I knew you were or already have access to this camera. Looking forward to the review.
  8. I have a feeling Andrew is probably one of those testing this camera
  9. Yes, I hope Panasonic will bring the 4:3 4k in 24p on the GH4. Even though I done have one, I will like to rent a GH4 and try it out with my 2x anamorphic lens. But I will not be holding my breath for that. Looking at Panasonic track record my guess will be that they will bring it later on a different new GH body and have you buy it.
  10. True it's a good camera I have worked on a shoot where it was used but I'm talking mostly for video. Yes it's compact and stealth factor will be high. For me the only points from your list worth noting are 3,4 and 14 but I can do without. I think for me I will use a 1D C for small short projects for everything else the Fs7 will be my perfect tool.
  11. Value for money wise and besides the small size of this camera why will someone spend $7999 on this camera instead of the $7999 on a Sony Fs7 if video is primarily what you shoot?
  12. Maybe it's just me but I don't understand their marketing strategy. "Let's give them a product they don't really want right now but later introduce the product that they really one" AKA E-M1 xx Well this is gonna be a welcome upgrade over EM5 and EM1 but if I were to by an Olympus camera, I will wait for the EM-1 upgrade.
  13. After seeing this update, the Samsung NX1 is looking more and more attractive. My only 2 problems; converting the H.265 to a more edit friendly codec is impractical to me. Figure out the lenses and how to use my nikon and canon lenses with it. I don't think Panasonic will add any v-log or 4k anamorphic on this GH4. You're gonna have to buy a camera for that!
  14. This is good news Samsung but I have a grief with Samsung. I hope they don't treat their camera line up like the treated their phones. I am seeing same thing as what they did with the phones. When they started out with their phones, they listened to customers and made better phones. When they were finally able to capture a sizable amount of the market, it became all about profit and they started making some crappy phones. I hope the Samsung line of cameras don't go that route. Other wise good firmware update.
  15. Andrew, if you're talking about 2014 then the 1DC doesn't belong on that list. Just because you were able to find a used one at a good price doesn't make it a new camera in 2014 and it's not like people can just go out there and find used ones at that price. On a different note, I have work on a shoot where the 1DC was used and it's truly an exceptional camera.
  16. I am wondering same thing too. Let me know if you have figure it out as I am seriously considering this camera. I don't have the camera but I went and played with it at my local camera store. I asked the people at the store, they couldn't figure it out but said they are still learning it. Maybe @ Andrew Reid can help if us if you haven't figure it out.
  17. Andrew, the D750 doesn't do slow shutter when shooting 60p but it does slow shutter in 24p. Beside, if you're gonna do slow shutter, why do it in 60p?
  18. With the success of the the GH4 all over the world as Panasonic says especially in Europe can y'all imagine how good the next GH camera will be. Good job Panasonic for at least listening to consumers and trying to give us what we want.
  19. Yah, this camera is quite good. I was planning to buy it mostly for still photo, but I think I will be using it a lot for video too. Andrew, how are you able to gauge the exposure in live-view while shooting video? I wasn't able to see the exposure marking like on the GH line or where to turn it on when shooting video. Coming from a GH line, it helps though it's not most accurate.
  20. Thanks!! I was starting to think there was something wrong with my lens. Could it be a problem with the way connection points on the lens not the camera? Anyways, let's hope they fix it.
  21. Hi Andrew, when you pla Hi Andrew when you play with the D750 can you check with your sigma 18-35mm lens if it can focus in liveview mode. My local camera store had the camera and I went to play with it but it wouldn't focus in liveview mode. It focuses fine with the viewfinder.
  22. Didn't nikon say the D750 video features should be same as that of D810? Hence you should expect the video quality of the D750 to be on par with the D810? I'm I correct?
  23. I finally told myself it's time for me to get in the world of full frame photography. I am considering this camera pending when I test it and play with it at the video store. Two main factors for me, the wide range of lenses to use with it and it's price. Having good video on it to me is just a plus. I have convinced my self that I will stick with the GH4 for video and upgrade to something better when the time comes. But for stills, I need something made for taking good stills. I know it's not the best stills camera, but I think it will do it at a good price.
  24. What's suppose to change with the internal 1080p in 2 months?
