Emanuel reacted to Andrew Reid in Olympus E-M1 II mini-review - a sign of things to come with the Panasonic GH5?
I tested at ISO 6400 and the noise was indeed better than the GH4, of finer grain and less of it.

Emanuel reacted to Orangenz in Sony rx100 V - 120 fps autofocus
Well that's interesting. It is as you say.

Still from Bali series...
and etc...
a low light sample:
2.7K acquisition mixed with iPhone 7 Plus + FilmicPro app coupled to a slider for non-aerial shots:
and another shootout:

Emanuel reacted to Inazuma in The 4K Fuji X-T2 is here
At 1080p I would say ISO 3200.
4K it's ISO 12800 or near that anyway. I do have a higher tolerence to noise than most people though I think.
Here's a clip at 10,000
The good thing about these Fuji files is that unlike some other cameras, it doesn't really kick in noise reduction much at high ISOs and so details remain quite visible. Using noise reduction in post gives great results.
One somewhat annoying thing regarding ISO I forgot to mention earlier is that you can't change it whilst recording.
I've yet to see any macroblocking in 1080 or 4k. The bitrate for 1080 seems to be variable, usually between 30 and 100 mbps. There are no artefacts in 4k either but there is a little bit of moire and aliasing in 1080. You can see that here https://***URL removed***/reviews/image-comparison/fullscreen?attr29_0=nikon_d5500&attr29_1=fujifilm_xt2&attr29_2=canon_eos80d&attr29_3=panasonic_dmcg85&attr72_0=1080&attr72_1=1080&attr72_2=1080&attr72_3=1080&normalization=full&widget=378&x=0.03472009788926267&y=-0.5420819490586931

Just dropping some more insight after doing more tests..
Don't use the Highlights/Shadows adjustments when shooting faces. It evens out the skin, giving that "waxy" effect.
Classic Chrome with +4 color is my favourite profile. Provia can be a bit too orange on skin. ProNeg Standard is good too if you want something slightly flatter.
4k jello is real. Close to the Samsung NX1 and Sony A7S. Use with caution. Thankfully the 1080p is sharp; much sharper than my D5500.
AF-C is very usable if you get to know it.
In JPEG stills, the Grain option on Strong actually lifts up the blacks a little bit, giving that VSCO effect, which I quite like.
The 23mm f2 WR is a weird lens. Out of focus areas have a rendering like some vintage lenses I have used. It's nice but not what I expected from a somewhat expensive modern lens. The f1.4 has a more modern rendering but the mechanics act more like an old lens. The below were taken with the f2 WR.
Really want to go out and shoot properly but just don't have the time at the moment.

Emanuel reacted to Timotheus in 4k shootout: G7 vs 5D4
:-)
Max Yuryev did a comparison between camera's that differ a factor 8 in price, but for sure don't differ as much when it comes to 4k quality/useability
Now I'm extra excited to go find a deal on the G80 haha

D-Cinelike @ 800 ISO:
another low light sample, but response of same kind... crushed blacks, oh yeah, but virtually noiseless and detail where there's light to expose:
more interesting stuff on Mavic potentialities:
Not available embedded but it is worthy to watch it on vimeo... take a look:

Well, unless we can call accidental to the tap to focus feature...
This feature is unique, not present in any one of the Mavic competitors. Without mention a lens aperture almost one stop faster comparing with the previous offer : )
As written earlier, so far, the jury is still out if it is a QC issue, a design flaw or a feature from its tap to focus design.
I'd even dare to bet beyond (and a way more) than faulty units...
The tap to focus design + a shitty codec for half-focused areas when the settings on sharpness are dialed down.
:-)

Really? I wouldn't be so sure of that... : P
Even though the QC explanation route or because there's also a chance for a lens design flaw as much as reported with the Lumia 1020 model; as already written earlier in a previous post of mine along this thread BTW : ) I bet it's much related to the focus system present on Mavic;
it's all about tap to focus design, I believe.
Remember it's the first time you have it present alongside a drone.
I believe that's why you're able to get it 'sharp edge to edge' throughout some other footage samples, as well.
But, as you wish, that said, I don't see a single reason why people are used to praise any-lovely-distortion when we simply mention the magic words 'anamorphic glass', despite to easily irritate themselves when a similar feature pops up in a Chinese piece of nouvelle technology designed and made somewhere in the other side of Pacific ; ) Shouldn't it be called cinematic in the same way? ;-)

Indeed. And this is one of the reasons why I like this device. No oversharpened edges. Makes it much more cinematic to my eyes, than the usual stuff I've usually seen from the other toys. As matter of fact, this is the first bird of this category to catch my attention.
