I agree on the form factor. Ergonomics, lightweight... can do the whole difference for both ends. Even though, that 1-stop of difference can be the culprit.

PS: Mere lens weight can interfere in the outcome...

WOW S1H is superior to S5, let alone much superior to Nikon and Sony's as expected : ) @Aaron Smith I'd rather just stay on MFT band or jump directly to S1H instead if money is no object. My condolences on your loss.
