So they are the only brand that don't know how to properly regulate the sensor temperature, as all other brands offers 24p ?

Shoot in 30p, but then conform it into 24p. The subtle slow-mo of the image will make it look more cinematic. Canon is just trying to help you become better filmmakers.

Yeah, would be good to see some pancakes. But probably hard to get good corners with the front element so close to the sensor, not to mention the rear one. For me this is all about adapting stuff. Canon FD on full frame. Yum.

Well done Andrew. What a shame about the vg-900. to me the poor image quality of the vg900 was more of a surprise than the difference between the fs100 and the bmc.
If only the BMC had been built into a housing like the c100/c300. they get everything right apart from their stupid physical design.

Yes, it is not a complete disaster. It may even offer the best image quality (for stills) of any camera of its size currently on the market. It would, though, take you 30 seconds of fiddling with the touch screen before you can take any photos. :-)
Same size camera with a proper shutter speed dial, jog wheel and 2012 sensor and they have a winner. -

Nothing to see for a serious or enthusiast videographer here... Same sensor as always, same codec as always, same issues as always ( probably moire and jello ), no 1080p 50 as always, Canon's same goodies... Nothing improved over the EOS DSLR in video mode.
Seems like Canon is following now, let's wait for Panasonic and Sony to blow our mind with their next models.
I'm pretty sure the GH3 will be THE real indie cinema camera...
