Maybe it's not a touch screen. It's an Almost Touch Screen. Like the video on the A6300, where you can Almost Shoot Movies. Cause with the overheating, photos seem more safe. Maybe the A6300 is perfect for Vines. Not Filmmaking.

I also believe it will have PDAF and impressive AF in video. Just a strong gut feeling (clairvoyance, perhaps). I hope they improve the quality of their RAW on their photos. The greatest advantage Panasonic has over Sony is price and reliability. Now it needs even better sensor (atleast .5-1 stop better), PDAF, atleast 1 stop better lowlight than the G7/ GX85/ G85, and good Video Autofocus features. I should get off online camera forums. They just cause GAS. Technology doesn't make good filmmakers. Working does. Technology is inspiring and encouraging at best.

It appears Sony is copying Panasonic. They have improved the shutter mechanism ("Enjoy less blur from vibration and a very quiet, durable shutter") making it have less shutter shock and more quiet, as well as the IBIS. I doubt whether the IBIS willbe able tp deliver the promised 5 stops of compensation. Also, I doubt whether they have been able to handle the heating issue. Excellent on Paper though.

IMHO if we keep the video aside, for a moment, the DJI Mavic is way more advanced than the GoPro Karma, simply by the insane level of its features (travel range, speed, ability to tackle obstacles, follow users, respond to gestures for commands, sending great quality video to the controller/ smartphone, being like 1/3rd or 1/4th the size of the GoPro Karma, etc etc). These features alone push it into a different league. Then add the price difference. The GoPro throws in a removable camera, and a removable gimbal, but for a lot more (many hundred dollars more). If DJI had a removable camera module, with a built in stabilizer or a stabilizer stick, the GoPro would have been a joke. I doubt whether Anyone would have bought it. As a Drone they aren't even in the same category, atleast where features are concerned.

IMHO it's also better suited for Guerilla shooting. Far less conspicuous than the G7 or G85, and obviously than the GH4. And most of the tech on the G85

First call them and record everything on the phone. Make sure you mention that you haven't been paid. Also say that they should finish the whole thing and that you can lower the fee, so that the matter is finally settled. Then say that you will make a 2 page contract and finish the whole thing. Write them a mail saying that since they never paid you for the work, you need not hand anything over to them and they using it would therefore be a breach. This is a Duplicate of the chat you had with them. Meet them with the 2 Page Contrast, which should Include: 1. That you are the rightful owner of the copyright, and have agreed to share some portions regarding a documentary that you are making for them; 2. They have the right to use the documentary made by you as a showreel of rheir work or for other publicity reasons. 3. That all payments have been cleared and that in no way can they alter the work done by you, without your permission, and that at all times should you be credited as the author of the work. Don't mention "work for hire", or anything similar Anywhere in the Contrast. -
I know, I did read most of the specs of the Major Panasonic releases. I am talking about the GX85, the Rangefinder version of the G/GH series minus the extra features of the GH series. Since the GX85 and G85 share pretty much most of the features (except weather sealing and a mic jack, and many not so major changes), there seems no reason not to have the CibeLike Profiles for the GX85.

This among other reasons is the reason that the GX85 should get a CineLike V and D. The colour science is seriously improved, and regardless of prices, the Panasonic GX85 is the top of the line Rangefinder design (as opposed to the DSLR design that the Panasonic G85 has, and the Panasonic the GX8 is an older camera, with a newer sensor, but no IBIS, shutter shock and very mediocre stabilization, so despite having a higher price, is therefore not a higher or more premium model). Panasonic should charge $99, if they don't want to give it for free. I wonder if it has the Sony IMX377 sensor? That is one crazy beast. The lack of higher bitrates may be due to the processing power (if not due to a different sensor). Because the processors onboard are doing so much more than on the GoPro. I also watched the DJI video again. The grading was terrible. I think they could retrench some employees from that department. I also watched the GoPro launch video. There is one bit where Wood (the CEO of GoPro) shows the level of stabilisation with the stabilizer mounted on one of the bikers, and its very impressed in terms of stabilisation. But that video has some serious micro-blocking issues. Maybe due to the bitrate limitations.

I actually watched the entire GoPro launch video (I had avoided it earlier, thinking GoPro were packing the same thing, again, with a new name, ans a higher price). But the new GoPro 5, the new GoPro session and the Karma seem to have finally made GoPro start innovating again. I like the voice command feature, the built-in waterproof housing, and the stabilisation (I wonder if it is in the 4k mode as well?). Also, like mentioned above the whole Karma kit is gr8 (though for $1099, or $350 more than the DJI, and about 3 times the size). DJI can improve their video quality by merely improving the bitrate and having a flat profile option for post. The GoPro Karma is anything but portable. That is one lie GoPro should stop peddling.

Looks excellent. And super compact size. And Huge price difference between this and the GoPro. The GoPro is $800 for Drone Only (without camera).

Smaller or bigger area. I wonder if a multi-aspect ratio sensor (like the 1.86x one on the GH2) would be able to do IBIS? I am guessing that it may, but with lesser stabilisation (unless it's a 20MP sensor, the same new one that Olympus will get, and ISIS may actually be sensor shift + Electronic Stabilisation). Also does the newer anamorphic sensor crop allow it for being even wider now? I am guessing Panasonic underplayed the talents of the GH5. It's looking like it will be quite a monster.

Very likely. I have a feeling the Panaspnic GH5 and the Olympus OMD EM1 Mk II may have the same sensor, one geared towards Photos and one towards Video.

True. It is seriously pocketable. Most jacket pockets could easily accommodate one. I guess it's similar in size to the LX100. That can't be said about the G7 or G80/85. Especially with the kit lens. I like the Mitakon 25mm f.95 lens despite some of the strange reviews. It has that characteristics of one of those old minolta (was it Minolta?) lenses that Mattias Burling (I hope that was him) mentioned, about having a lot of flare pointed at direct sunlight, and thus softer image due to the coating. Almost like a natural ultra contrast built-in. Also, like I mentioned, some cities have so much character at night. They literally come alive then.

Though I bought the GX80 1-2 months back, I didn't really get to use it until yesterday cause I was travelling. Quite a seriously impressive little camera. I wish they didn't act so stupid by not putting a ($5) mic socket and not having Cineline V and D. The price difference between this and the G80 isn't really big considering the weather sealing, the magnesium front, slightly quieter shutter, 3 times faster buffer and the kit lens. If all those are considered the GX80 may be overpriced. And if they incorporate the 8-bit 4-2-2 internal recording, it would be stupid. The kit lens is actually pretty sharp. Maybe as sharp as many of the primes. Though having a faster prime is a necessity. I wish there were a lot more choices for fast glass (f1.2 and faster). I love night street video and photography. A lot of cities really come alive at night. Panasonic should incorporate the Cinlike profiles, the Saving Mode and the Focus Bracketing in the firmware update, and not merely focus bracketing. I found the grip a little ackward and uncomfortable at first. It takes a while getting used to. Though, overall, I actually like the range-finder kind of body and semi-articulating screen. They make the camera less conspicuous. I could put the camera on a wall right next to a cop, tilting the screen upwards, and he wouldn't know he's part of a guerilla shoot.

Handheld videography is underrated. If Panasonic can reach the 6.5 stops of stabilisation of Olympus, I think it would be as smooth as a steadycam. Development like this is Far Greater for lower budget indies, and Guerilla Shooting. For large productions stabilisation, ISO and zooms have no place. Too much time and money is spent on things which can be handled otherwise. And FX Artists and Companies are underpaid.

All Canon DSLRs have soft video. It may have got to do with their algorithm and how they down sample.

Actually there are some patterns that almost no camera can control, in terms of moiré. I remember there was a chair in my house with the wiry back like one of those Herman Miller Chairs, and even the GH2 had issues fighting moire on that one. One day I realised that if I stared at the chair for a little while and slowly moved my head left to right and vice versa, my eyes would form a strange pattern too. Here, looking at your shirt, I am guessing it is more of the sunlight that is causing the issues with the pattern, due to very strong reflections aggravated by the pattern. It's like one of those Disco Shirts, that are way too shinyor bling to be worn during the day. I could be wrong though. Could you use some other camera on that shirt in bright sunlight too, with light bouncing off the shirt. Maybe the GX85 may not be the only one suffering from an inability to handle the shine.

Also, I am curious whether the new 20MP sensor is another off-the-rack sensor, or one that Sony has SPECIFICALLY made for Olympus. Either ways, in many ways, Panasonic needs to concentrate and work on its Photography limitations. Especially in comparison to APS-C DSLRs.

I am guessing if the Olympus EM 1 ii can have 121 cross-point on-chip PDAF, then obviously there seems no reason why the Panasonic GH5 should have far better focus for Photo, and a much higher burst rate. I am guessing the PDAF is a fabrication process, on existing sensors, and is not very difficult. Though for mirrorless cameras, since everything is electronic, it may be an issue of processing power. And that is why Panasonic may also need a pair of quad core processors, one solely for focus. This may be a blessing for both photo and video. If Canon and Sony can do it, I see no reason why Panasonic cannot do it too. Also, there is some kind of Focus Improvement in the FZ2000 which is noticeable from its fake dolly zoom feature. It doesn't lose focus while zooming in. I am guessing Panasonic is Already working on PDAF in a huge way. I read in some Fuji interview that faster focussing needs much lighter moving parts within the lens. And that is why their new lenses are being planned accordingly. We basically just got a Hint of the GH5's features. It is going to be a real powerhouse.
