  1. Assuming you use the camera with no lighting kits we can all agree the NX1 is very bad in low light, worse than the old 550D.
  2. I'm pretty sure Premiere will use all the cores, especially for encoding (h264 is multi threaded).
  3. I would be happy with better low light performance (maybe less NR?) instead of 240p but that's just me
  4. Will it Work if you put them back on the card and unlock them from the camera?
  5. I meant for the project in general not for warp stabilizer.
  6. If you set an upscale won't it upscale also the original files when you replace them?
  7. Hi, now that Premiere supports h.265 I'm far away from my modern desktop PC which could handle 4k editing and I'm stuck with my slow notebook and I need to edit these 4k nx1 files. Even though my CPU supports h.265 HW decoding Premiere does not so not even the simple playback is possible. I tried to convert in 4k prores and h.264 but the result is similar, I was thinking to edit in maybe 720p mpeg2, the problem is AFAIK Premiere has always caused problems with proxies for projects at different resolutions. I remember that if you create a 720p project with 720p proxy files than you can't later convert it in 4k with 4k native files the opposite goes if you edit 720p files in a 4k project (upscaled) and then replace the footage, you would create problems with effects like warp stabilizer. So do you have suggestions?
  8. You still can't change the lens aperture while using videos right? That's a big downside.
  9. I read the 5500 has a new sensor compared to the 5300, does it mean more DR for videos?
  10. does the 5300 produce the same image as the 5500? where?
  11. Thanks I meant if it's 2009 Canon like fake HD....
  12. is 1080p detailed? What are the differences between d5300 and d7100 for stills and video?
  13. I tried to find it used but seems like nobody has it for sale! The first tip is great thanks
  14. Hi, I'm looking to use multi purpose manual lenses in Nikon mount for NX1 for pictures. Like a 18-200mm from Sigma (because the native Samsung's is too expensive/discontinued) and I'm having problems with the following: 1) how do you set a specific apertures like f/8 if you just have a ring on the adapter? 2) is it possibile to get manual focus peaking always on instead of pressing the "set" button every time?

How does Samsung 16-50 compare (f/2 apart) to other lenses on the same range made by Nikon Sigma etc? Is it really worth the money?
  17. funny how instead the 18-200 lens is the most expensive in EU.
  18. is someone using the 18-200 lens? is the focusing fast? It's from 2011... will it be on par with the nx1 monster?
  19. yup lowlith is its weokaness but it bet it could be improved if they didn't apply that heavy NR.
  20. I well aware of that. I guess the price is so high because they have a monopoly for the NX system.
