  1. This image was posted a week ago in the comments at 43rumors by the person who created it. It was just based on his wish list and actually included his signature at the bottom right but that was removed by that rumor site. It is a total fake. https://www.43rumors.com/ft5-panasonic-will-have-a-cine-lumix-announcement-on-may-31/
  2. At little less than expected at $1,798 US. https://photorumors.com/2019/05/27/panasonic-leica-dg-vario-summilux-10-25mm-f-1-7-asph-mft-lens-specifications-leaked-online/
  3. A 100mp X-Tran sensor would require some serious processing power, especially if Samsung also implements low light stacking.
  4. A 1/2.3" sensor https://photorumors.com/2019/05/09/dji-osmo-action-camera-leaked-pictures-and-specifications-12mp-1-2-3″-sensor-4k60p-video/
  5. Below are the leaks specs and along with the leaked side shot of the camera we can see that a headphone jack was added and the Mic moved out of the way of the screen. Along with the additional of V-log L it looks like Panasonic has focused more on video with this release. The only thing missing is 4k/60p. https://www.nokishita-camera.com/2019/04/dc-g99.html LUMIX DC-G90 / G95 / G99 Effective pixel count 20.3M pixel Live MOS sensor, low pass filterless 5-axis Dual IS 2, camera shake correction effect for 5 stages Unlimited 4K30p / Full HD Movies V-log L is pre-installed 2.36 million dots organic EL LVF, finder magnification 0.74 times 3.0 type vari-angle touch panel monitor Dust and drip proof Equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Size: 130.4 x 93.5 x 77.4 mm Weight: about 536 g Domestic release date: May 23, 2019 Kit: Body, high magnification zoom lens kit (overseas standard zoom kit is also available)
  6. Sharp officially joins m4/3. I expect we will see more details at NAB https://www.olympus-global.com/news/2019/contents/nr01198/nr01198_00001.pdf
  7. A Raw converter would need to support this new RYYB configuration, otherwise we are dependent on the huawei's processing.
  8. The 4k mode on the top dial instead of 6k like the G9/GH5 suggests this has an older sensor/processor. I would expect a large crop for 4k.
  9. Some minor changes to the body. https://www.nokishita-camera.com/2019/03/blog-post_26.html
  10. Some interesting comments from Sony on how the Camera upgrade came about. https://www.trustedreviews.com/news/sony-xperia-phones-finally-getting-alpha-style-cameras-3666962 The knock-on effect was that Alpha guru Kimio Maki is now head of product development for Sony Mobile and actually stopped production on what would have been a Sony XZ3. “He said “okay, so we work with Alpha here, let’s take this bit, we work with the CineAlta brand, let’s bring this bit”. He opened up the whole of digital imaging for us.” “Because that imaging team is all together, they can share that experience across Cybershot, Alpha and Xperia”, he added. Which sounds like a spectacularly sensible approach that should bear some tasty fruits for smartphone photographers. Presumably this also means we’ll start to start more Alpha features flooding into Xperia phones? “It’s possible. If it’s software, it could be possible to bring it across. A closer collaboration with Alpha is a definite, thanks to the management change that’s happened in Tokyo with Mobile now belonging to Imaging.” There have also previously been issues with interdepartmental rivalry stifling collaboration, Marsh admitted. “Even though we’re one company, there are still sometimes barriers that Alpha doesn’t want to give Mobile certain things, because all of a sudden you have the same as what a £3,000 camera’s got. “Now that barrier’s gone a little bit. They’re saying “okay, we see that having a smartphone and camera that gives you the same experience is a good thing”, he added.
  11. It looks like RED may have finally awaken the sleeping giant. It has always amazed me why Sony never applied their video and camera division experience to their smartphones.
  12. There is also a 15 minute recording limit for 4k60 and all other high-speed modes.
  13. The leaked specs suggest a heavy crop for 4k/60p with 6k only supporting 30fps. https://www.nokishita-camera.com/2019/01/lumix-s1s1r.html
  14. It looks like the same sensor and same EVF resolution from the e-M1ii. Also, the ND Filter cannot be used for video. https://www.43rumors.com/ft5-these-are-the-full-e-m1x-specs/
  15. More details leaked but little of it is specific to video. But there will be LOG https://photorumors.com/2019/01/18/more-leaks-olympus-e-m1x-and-new-flash-system-pictures-specifications-prices/ "Key OM-D Movie video capabilities: 4K and C4K, OM-Log400, Different levels of IS, 120 fps high-speed shooting in Full HD"
  16. Not much coming through the rumor site but today someone posted in the comments some of their experience at a hands-on event from 2 months ago. He specifically mentioned that the video specs were on par with the GH5S (including low-light ability). Only 7 days left until the official announcement.
  17. Nikon announced that ProRes Raw is coming in a future firmware update. Nikon also announced a Nikon Z 6 Filmmaker’s Kit for $4k. https://***URL removed***/news/7011682215/nikon-to-add-eye-af-raw-video-support-and-cfexpress-support-to-z-series
  18. It looks like Olympus might beat Panasonic to market with a built-in ND filter. Now this would be surprising. https://www.43rumors.com/ft5-the-olympus-e-m1x-also-has-a-live-nd-filter/
  19. Some things never change. https://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr4-sony-a7siii-has-new-stacked-sensor-and-will-be-on-market-by-early-2019/ The development of α7sⅢ has been postponed because of heat issue.
  20. Someone in the comments today mentioned that it will support 4k 120p based on information from someone who has the camera. There is no mention if this involves a crop.
  21. I would think Panasonic would start with a 4k 12mp GH6s to reduce the demand on processing 8k. There will be enough heat generated from the sensor alone. This would also further separate the GH6 from the GH6s.
  22. What are you talking about? The article lists the 2 products they will come out with next year. 8K Multipurpose Camera AK - SHB 810 is a compact, lightweight, box - type camera that uses a PL lens mount. Equipped with 8K organic sensor which will be the first in the world... 8K / 4K / HD video output is possible from the camera unit and the image processing unit AK - SHU 810 connected with optical fiber cable...
  23. The is a development announcement with Fall 2019 launch. As expected Panasonic introduced the Organic sensor as a high end product. It will be interesting to hear more details. https://photorumors.com/2018/10/27/panasonic-announced-the-development-of-the-worlds-first-8k-organic-sensor-and-8k-camera-system/
  24. Lots of good information from ZM in the comments. I would be interested in reading the paper where he got this information. It is very sad that Sony has no competition. "The details of the NX500/NX1 sensor are revealed in Samsung's IISW 2015 paper and it's just jaw dropping: 28MP/25FPS/14bit/700+mW power consumption/65nm technology (Sony stays in 90nm until now)."
  25. The Panasonic rep mentions dual IS after 3:30 in this video. https://youtu.be/RlKGhYvpDc0
