no you cant do both at once , its either or !!  I have brought this up at meetings with Panasonic as we all would like this feature , the G7 will not do this, I just shot a feature film with 6 x Panasonic G7 cameras , its a great camera !

I don't think the G7 has a 4K HDMI output.
I have one, will try it with my Oddyssey 7Q+

I won't know for sure until I've seen the files but for what its worth this is my current stretch rating for this
Still better chance than the bit rate stuff though

It will just be settings rather than a hack (unless you have the GX80 where it will use the current one to get Cinelike on to it)
Needs a lot more testing yet (some of which will have to be automated so there's more code to be written today to do that) so its a bit away from being revealed just yet.
 

Like I said, happy to be proven wrong haha! Thanks for the info, will check it out when I get home. Aside from RAW and internal prores, it's starting to look like the GX80 is the 4k pocketcam that Blackmagic never delivered. 

I wouldn't say a stretch, its there we just have to find the right path to get it. I'm getting up with a friend on tuesday that has the GH4 with FW2.3 and we're going to capture the commands necessary to "coax" it out, haha. 
Options available will list the options that are cooked into that mode some that are enabled, some that are disabled. 

Someone has the "curmenu" reply of the GH5?

It's Monday tomorrow and even though I don't have my GX85 on me, I am waiting for the VLOG on it. I think the colour science would make it great.

Its highly likely that it will be purely dependent on what controller people want to use.
Its fundamentally in there but just mapped to a thumbstick at the moment. A controller with a fader in (or many faders) is easily supported.
Watch this space, I suppose.

By mistake Sharpness is set "0"     :-(   And it can be seen , I always set up for panasonic sharpness -5 
 

Not thus far but my work on it at least is suspended while I'm doing the hardware controller.
We've got a lead with an old version of the app that had the 'free' VLOG glitch but needs someone with a GH4 with the old firmware before Panasonic shut the door on it to try and do some exploring to see if it could be applied to the G7.
Priority list for what I'm up to is the hardware controller, followed by Cinelike D on LX100 and then after that I'll revisit VLOG if no one else has been looking at it. I don't think the extra bitrates are viable using this method.

I have a friend who has the old FW GH4. I can see if he'd be willing to help
