nougat got a reaction from Santiago de la Rosa in Adobe Premiere Pro CC Now Supports H.265 NX1 Files
Adobe Premiere Pro CC was updated today to support H.265 files  I imported several NX1 H.265 clips directly into Premiere and they play and edit beautifully without any glitches or lag.  I even tried multiple transitions and LUTs on my clips and it slowed it down a little, but still no problem editing.
I have a Windows 10 PC, I7-4770K, 16GB ram, GTX970 4GB, separate SSD system, work and render drives.
Adobe After Effects and Media Encoder were also updated to support H.265.
Thank you and great job Adobe!

I think it probably would be faster encoding if Premiere can use the hardware encoder properly.  Sadly, I bought the GTX 970 just before they released the GTX 960.
Update 2:  I changed the render settings to "good" instead of "highest" and it cut the render time to ~50 minutes for the same 23 minute sequence.

nougat got a reaction from Marco Tecno in Nebula 4200 - 5-axis gimbal
Filmpower posted several videos of the Nebula 4000 in action, but exactly zero videos of the Nebula 4200 in action.  Something tells me the 5-axis design is a flop and they don't want pre-orders cancelled if they were to post a video.  Don't you think that If it worked well, they would have posted several videos already?

I imagine most are interested in seeing footage shot from the 5 axis stabilizer you claim to have created,  not another 3 axis model. Notice I said from... you need to show the gimbal in action and the resulting unaltered footage. If you can't show this then pack up and go home.

nougat reacted to agolex in NX1 exposure drift problem FIX
Let's wrap this up. This is not bloom, it's the NX1 doing what it wants to do if it doesn't like the exposure. Would be OK for a cell phone, but in a camera with a fully manual video shooting mode I'd rather not have it. It doesn't do it under low exposure.
Sure, might be that not every camera has this issue (though I'd really like to have one that is supposed not to have the issue in my own hands), but apparently lots of units do. So, as has been stated before, this should be a top priority for the software guys, not 1000 new features (that might work as sensationally as the histogram).
Here's the comparison featuring a Nikon D800, a Blackmagic Cinema Camera and the NX1:
Settings of the NX1 definitely all manual, no guides, no auto anything, I spent 5 minutes making sure of that. Firmware 1.10, though. With the other cameras I did what's usually to be done: throw 'em into manual and roll.

Hope I'll manage to get the Vimeo in here, can't seem to get it to work intuitively. Sorry for the bad quality, only one HD upload per week.
To everyone who doesn't see the drifting: I envy you, I'd love not to see stuff as well, life probably would be bearable at last.

nougat reacted to DigitalEd in NX1 exposure drift problem FIX
I get in my second NX1 camera today and it was having the exposure drift problem so after setting it to the same settings as my other one i found the one thing that is making the problem a extra menu of items with one setting that needs to be changed..
Here is what i posted on Facebook
Look at the back of the camera lcd you will see a arrow at the top of the screen in the center. Tap on it and turn off auto display brightness.. that was the only other setting my older camera had changed and now with auto display brightness turned off it no longer has a exposure problem no more jumping up and down and this fixes the recorded video to..

nougat got a reaction from Ivar Kristjan Ivarsson in NX1 second thoughts, change for GH4 or A7S
So I did some testing with my NX1 to find out how to help Ivar and unfortunately I found that I have the same problem and can't find a fix. When panning from a well lit area to a darker area the camera seems to automatically adjusts exposure, but the wrong way!  The well lit area gets brighter and dark area gets darker.
I can confirm this problem with the following settings on three different lenses (Samsung 16-50 S, 50-150 S and Rokinon 12mm for NX):
Manual Mode (Fixed aperture, shutter speed and ISO) Manual Focus OIS "Off" Dynamic Range and Smart Range+ "Off" Framing Mode "Off" Overexposure Guide "Off" WB set to "Tungsten" to avoid AWB Exposure mode makes no difference (Same problem with Multi, Center Weighted and Spot) Display Auto Brightness "Off" Camera Firmware 1.10 How can the exposure shift if aperture, shutter speed and ISO are fixed? I won't bother posting a video since my video looks almost exactly like Ivar's video, which captures it perfectly.
I welcome any help from other NX1 users.  I've been through the menus a few times now and can't find anything else to turn off. TIA.
