    Hello,

I've recently purchased a ISCO Ultra Star Cinemascope lens to use it with my sony a7s.

I've seen some videos on youtube where people use this lens with their cameras so I bought this lens without thinking too much.

However, I think I might have bought a wrong lens.

As you can see in the picture, there is this lower part of the lens that I don't see in other videos.

Is there a way to disassemble this part of the lens or have I just bought a wrong lens?

    Many thanks in advance

I have this ana lens sample.   If only say resolution, it is a top one, but lacks of flare...

    ISCO_HD_EF100_1

  2. I did some research several years ago.  And got these combination:

    1.5X:                          Sphere/Cylinder
    Schneider ES front     0/-10.50
    ISCO integrated rear  +7.75/-7.75

    1.3X:
Moller46/2x front      0/-9 to -10 (estimated value, due to too thick, unable to measure)
    ISCO integrated rear   +7.75/-7.75

The combination means using 2X lens with more powerful rear lens(or weaker front lens) can get less ratio than 2X.
    For reference, original combination is:

    2X:
    Schneider ES front     0/-10.50
    Schneider ES rear      +6.00/-6.00

    2X:
    ISCO integrated front  0/-13.75?
    ISCO integrated rear   +7.75/-7.75

    BTW, for 16H,
    2X:
    16H front              0/-17.00
    16H rear               +9.50/-9.50

So that explain powerful lens combination(shorter distance between front and rear lenses) has wider angle.

Thank you. Seen that vid before. The issue I have is that I'm unable to access the screws due to the focus barrel being stuck. Need to figure out a way of loosing it without breaking the damn thing! ?

Hey @ken. Thanks for the pic! Modified? Please explain.

How much are you wanting for that bad boy? ?

Your lens barrel has been cut out the distance marking part, obviously.

Mine's price?  I think it worth around $200 nowadays.  Its front lens was too bad when I bought, not usable.  So I took out rear lens for use with other front lens.

    Hi All,

Anyone have any experience with stripping down a Kowa 8z Anamorphic adapter? I've stripped down a couple of other scopes before but this one's giving me a bit of bother. The pics below are as far as I've got.

Repair Issue: I want to access the screws (highlighted in red) but the focus barrel (helicoid?) is jammed - Won't rotate in either direction. Anyone experienced this before? If so, how did you release/fix it? I'm sure I'm missing something.

@Tito Ferradans Maybe you might have some advice?

    Thanks in advance!

Hey, your lens has been modified.  I believe it has reached to one end.  Please refer my picture.

BTW, if you need, I can sell mine to you, mechanic parts only, no glasses.  ?

    Wow,great modification!

I've got a cinelux es,too. How can I dissemble it ? Loose all the screws I can find.....

    thx~

my mod is just cut it.  if you need to take out front lens, besides loosing screws, you need to soften epoxy points by heat gun.
