Got a set of Dracast 728 RGBW LED Panel 2-Light Kit. Love the lights and don't need gels.
Forgot about the Kino Flo 4' Single System Fluorescent Light. I do need gels for that one.

It may be a Series 9 filter, which is a format of 82mm non-threaded filter. Ask the seller if it's Series 9, or Lee, or what format it is. Most filters can be found in a number of formats, e.g. you can find a Black ProMist in 77mm standard threaded, or Series 9, or square formats. You should definitely find out for sure what standard the filter is before buying so you know what kind of adapter you'll need and how expensive that will be.
That's what it is. IT's a series 9

Quick question guys and girls. About to make a purchase of Ebay for a lens filter but it has no threads. Seller said that the filter needs an adapter. Could anyone post me in the right direction on this because I'm about to go crazy searching for this info. LOL
Thanks in advance.
Oh and the thread is 82mm btw.

I'll just stick to my Hackintosh. It's more cost-effective nowadays.

I got my G85 for about $550 (got an open-box kit for $800, sold the kit lens for $250), and it was worth every penny just to get IBIS. The slightly improved lowlight and colors over my GH4 were also nice bonuses.
By far the best value for money for video right now IMO.
So would you consider the G85 better than the GH4 if you have both?

A well respected member at dvxuser wrote this earlier
"Just got this info about the new camera. It will have a S35 sensor and 14 stops of dynamic range. 4k up to 60fps. 1080p up to 120fps. All the usual stuff like ND, SDI/HDMI out. The body is very light weight at about 1 kg. Media used will be SDXC cards with dual slot capacity.
The camera pars can be broken down and the shape of the camera is a mix of C100 and FS5. As is the price in the league of a C100 mkII."Would be pretty amazing if true
Welp glad I didn't get the gh5. Can save my money for this camera.

Wordpress and the default theme will work, however Wordpress IMO is a bit of a mess (I'm a long time developer (C/C++/OBJC desktop, embedded, and iOS (+ Android NDK (C++)). I've successfully avoided web development because all the tools are a mess: HTML, CSS, Javascript (HTML5), PHP etc.). Additionally C/C++/OBJC is more profitable. I built our websites with Wordpress and a bunch of plugins, but would much prefer something else. Unfortunately, for quick development without having to write web code, it's currently the least bad of all the options (jQuery, bootstrap, angular.js and sass are OK, but they're for writing code, not WYSIWYG).
You could try something like http://www.wix.com which would work for a basic site with no coding, especially if you start with a template close to what you want.
Honestly business cards are a waste of time, money, and paper. As a vendor it's best to collect emails, and when you meet people you want to connect with, get their email and/or phone number, then follow up. I've gotten work from LinkedIn (tech), so it's worthwhile. In LA especially, film work really requires face-to-face networking in addition to an online presence to show your work.
Wouldn't that be a good reason to give someone a card with you're info on it so they don't have to write or type down all of that?

Win a GH5...

Don't know if this has been posted but there's a chance to win a GH5 bundle on www.premiumbeat.com. You don't have to do anything just email address and that's it. Worldwide contest also. Good luck if anyone wins from here.

I've been a PC guy all my life, just happened like that, like starting with Canon or Nikon. I have zero brand fetishism or preference. I'll switch to Linux or Mac as soon as I see any advantage but right now the Mac computer are just too expensive for the specs.
At home my girlfriend recently bought one of their latest laptop and Iphone and every-time she needs to do something beyond internet browsing she calls me to rescue her:- Want to install some "exotic" software, NOPE, it doesn't work on Mac
- Want to watch a movie via the Laptop HDMI, of course there is no HDMI out on the Mac laptop
- Want to plug anything in general ? NOPE, there is very little connectivity and the removal of the 3.5mm is utterly stupid IMHO. Just another excuse to sell you overpriced accessories. Plus, I hate the wireless accessories, it always runs out of battery when you need it the most.
- Need a basic apple cable ? You must buy the dedicated Apple cable for $29 or it won't work properly.
As for Apple and ethic, they are no better or worst than all the other silicon valley hipster companies. They are here to do business. They are not cool or evil, just protecting their own interest. Fighting Trump immigration policy when it's bad for their HR strategy but they haven't said anything about the new FCC policy change regarding selling the internet history...
Sorry the 2016 version has nothing but the usb-c inputs but I have the 2015 that has all the inputs lol. And what "exotic" software that you speak of? You have a buy a dongle if you want to do anything on the 2016 version. That's why I didn't upgrade to the 2016 version.

I actually trust Kholi as well, but not this time. Comparing V-Log to S-Log on the A7sII? C'mon...
If it is nearly as good as V-Log on the GH4 it'll put the A7sII to shame in terms of color science.
Watch my showreel to see what I mean:Almost 99% internal V-Log!
And yes, I've been using the a7sII quite a lot, always struggeling with the color, even using different profiles and combinations (such as Cine4, Slog2/3 SGamut 3.cine/3/2 etc). On the GH4 I just hit the portrait profile with:
Contrast 0
Sharpening -5
NR -5
Saturation -2
Hue 1
And it looks almost identical to the color corrected RAW output of the FS5...Dude wtf!!!! Nice work. So this is all v-log in you're reel??? Give me some pointers on your setup with the Gh4. Your work is nice.

Oh, and I bought some more Beer. Really Ready. Tell me why I am all wrong, might be, I can be convinced, well ok I can be I guess. Sort of in a good mood today, the sun finally shined, 60 degrees.
Don't really feel like debating you on what "YOU" think is cinematic. Hell it's your opinion so I could really give to shits. Love what you love and I'll do the same. Happy Filming.

Boy, I am going to piss off a Lot of people on here
, but I am afraid I have Never seen anything "cinematic" shot with a GH4, and I bet I will not with a GH5. Now a Sony F3, a BMPCC, the original Red One X, Canon C300, Sony FS700 4k, BMCC, Canon 5D mkIII with ML, but a turd to use, I am thinking cameras WE can afford used, I know there is more but you get the point. I can't even put Sony A7 series in there, Samsung NX1 either. More people pissed. These kind of cameras have a Digital look, plain and simple. I don't care what Lut you use, they still look Digital.
Sure some colorist from hell from Hollywood can blend one in with a Arri, but we don't have that skill set, and if was that great they would not buy Red Weapons, and Arri Alexa XT's.
Can the above cameras that are not "cinematic" looking shoot some killer stuff, well yes they can, but Cinematic, afraid not.
So out of all the footage online you haven't seen anything cinematic shot with the GH4? Guess you haven't been on Youtube or Vimeo enough. Funny you added the FS700 in that group when people bash that camera to shit. But whatever floats your boat chief.

Well I might just sale all my Panasonic gear now since this new announcement.

Use FCPX and they have heaps of title drops for motion or FCPX. Easy adjustments and animations.
