  1. And incidentally improve image quality, reduce file sizes and make their cameras more accessible to a wider audience.
  2. This. Your reel is truly exceptional.

You made it seem as though you were quoting me whereas those are all your own words. Funny you should mention the Veydras, because one of our very own esteemed forum members, under the guise of a dozen aliases, has gone to the trouble to dislike every one of those videos on my YT channel around ten times, as well as a bunch of other tests I’ve done with other lenses. The very same person who downvoted me over 85 times because he was angry over my spat with JB. I happen to love the look of the Veydras on the GH5.
  4. Correction: response from Jun over at bmcuser.
  5. And amazingly, only the talent is shaking. ?
  6. I’ve got no beef with anyone pointing out the obvious flaws in the footage - it’s the gratuitous and wholly unnecessary remarks about Jun that I find offensive.
  7. Maybe because Bioskop is the one being pompous here - making absurd comments about how Jun wouldn’t be able to find work because his technique is so shoddy, whereas he’s got 1/4 million subscribers, a thriving multi-million dollar record label and hundreds of music videos that demonstrate he knows something about the craft.
  8. Typical armchair critic thinking he can give lessons to a pro. It’s just test footage for crying out loud. I don’t think you have anything of value to teach Jun about operating a camera or grading footage.
  9. @Yurolov Why don’t you say goodbye? We were talking about the Able Cine video.
  10. What bothered me most about the AF in my X-T2 was how jarring transitions were while changing focus. I assume that’s been improved.
  11. Same here. We’re on the same page there.
  12. What is odd to me is that someone would even bother to post that rubbish. Even if you don’t care about the features I mentioned, the video is pretty much worthless.
  13. And yet - there are retailers who do talk about the advantages as well as the downsides when doing camera and gear reviews... Able Cine is just giving talking points like you’d expect to hear at a launch event.
  14. I believe the reason for the shaky footage has already been explained. And Jun Areia does not have to worry about begging for gigs; he’s the founder of the record label that bears his name and quite successful doing what he loves.
  15. Right, of course Spielberg doesn’t care about IBIS, flippy screens or zebras, ‘cause he’s got a grip, boom operator, colorist, costume designers, a DIT, focus puller, foley artist, gaffer, lighting technicians, a DOP, assistant directors, location scouts, production assistants, props builders, script supervisors, set decorators and sound designers, steadicam operators, vfx supervisors and on and on.
  16. We’ve already seen that it works well; however, just because the green box is over the eye in the EVF is not always a guarantee that it nailed focus in the final clips. As far as the absence of video eye detect in Sony goes, while I hope they implement it in their new models, I’ve been shooting with and without face detect for months now and it still does a great job nonetheless.

A super quick grade of a clip I just shot. Maybe a little dark, sorry about that. And sorry for the model, too! Sony a7 III, Sony 50mm f/1.4, ISO 1200
  18. Number one, no bubble here. Just the fellow said he was going to focus on video and I watched for like 7 or 8 minutes, and no mention of the crop factor. No mention of lack of IBIS. No mention of lack of zebras, if in fact that's so. No mention of lack of 1080p 120fps. Those are all important things to know for anyone interested in shooting video. Lack of zebras and IBIS alone would be a dealbreaker for me. YMMV.
  19. Whatever. The fellow said he was going to focus on video, I watched for eight minutes, not a word about the 1.7x crop, 120fps 720p, no IBIS, no zebras. Lots of talk of the miracle of short flange distances, as though Canon invented mirrorless. Shill behavior.

I simply drag a little orange into the mids and blue into the highlights. Skin tones look fine to me. Copy & paste attributes, all done.
  21. Who here says they need FF f/1.2? I love full frame; I don’t need f/1.2. Tell better stories with Canon bcs of the crop? I call BS. Just keep on posting videos by paid shills.
