  1. Yes I noticed the shutter delay too, And its really annoying to see your shot that you thought you captured suddenly missed. I wonder if this can be fixed or that it will be a flaw that will stick. And the other thing I noticed is that the brightness on the lcd is changing in manual focus mode with exposure simulation on. This is also not expected and annoying.
  2. I'm sure a firmware update is around the corner, of course it will never get phase detection performance, but I'm gonna ride this one out. The dng workflow alone is worth it for me.
  3. Yes it very loose, Its a design flaw, its on all cameras.
  4. DCI 4K would be great, even the cheap Blackmagic 4k offers this. I think sigma should try harder in this aspect And yes the Nikon has an OLPF
  5. Its still possible to have full sensor readout, just like it is on the S1H But yea not having any expectations
  6. https://www.dropbox.com/s/u70vu74j33cs9at/F001_010_20191210_000031.DNG?dl=0 Lossless compressed
  7. Yes I could bring them into resolve studio lossless compressed, what version of resolve do you use?
  8. The 2tb can hold 1 hour and 45 minutes as the total record time in 12 bit raw.
  9. It will get pro res raw, but you will need an atomos ninja.
  10. https://photorumors.com/2019/12/10/adobe-camera-raw-12-1-december-2019-released-with-zeiss-zx1-support/ Sigma fp now officially suppored in camera raw. ( it already worked but yea )
  11. You can try renaming the folder and dig files to the structure of the following screenshot. This is the resolve naming convention.
  12. If you only need 1080 maybe, but i would buy the original pocket cinema camera for 16mm shooting
  13. @paulinventome Did you send your findings to sigma japan? Perhaps a firmware update can improve the green shadows
  14. By the way 25 frames per second is also important if you want to use the 180 shutter rule and you have lights that operate at 50 hz. then you can match the shutter to the lights frequency. And the lights where I live mostly still do 50 hz.
  15. Thanks for the tip @paulinventome to expose to the right more with 10 bit. And yes I could speed up the 23.97 to 25 I also wish there was true 24 fps In the 8 and 10 bit I'm just a bit concerned about the green in the last bit of the shadows, it seems that perhaps the black level is interpreted wrong, I have had green issues on the canon 5d with magic lantern raw before when the black level wat set wrong. @KC Kelly I use a SmallHD Focus Oled and there is no noticeable lag. Other monitors may differ.
  16. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fwd55ee51c6h0jv/AADa_V1Qg1c-vc95wo0E5dk3a?dl=0 Here a test file, 8 bit, 10 bit, 12 bit Both 8 and 10 bit shadows break up the same way as Paul said, It a bit a shame because I really need 25 fps and 10 bit does not do the job.
  17. It also helps to put the sharpening to the max when shooting raw. it helps with focussing. And its not baked in the raw
  18. Not yet, I'm still interested to try it out Don't get a sata drive. Usb 3 with Nvme should work in theory
  19. Because it causes aliasing and loss of resolution, basically you are alternating lines, one high iso, the next low iso. And when you combine them you have less resolution as if you would have shot at one iso only. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here a worst case sigma Fp test, lit with some little energy saving light that outputs horrible color. Iso 6400, 8 bit cdng. manual focus85 mm lens handheld https://www.dropbox.com/sh/biq7g9afi999lmi/AABRYDSG9spbYp0WJ5l5g-SAa?dl=0
  20. Yes Mlv is the container, that gets converted to cdng in post. Its possible with the hack since 2013. search for magic lantern online and you will find some footage.
  21. 5d Mk3 is 14 bit, and sigma 12bit at 24 fps UHD or 1080. But that's just theoretical numbers, the sensor also matters, and I know for sure that the 5d has much more shadow noise. In determining dynamic range, noise is also a factor. that said I would love to have a comparison with the same lens with the 5d and the sigma in raw. I cannot make it as I sold my canon.
  22. If only sigma could allow 25 fps at 12 bit I would be really happy
  23. Here's my list: allow af-on butwton when in manual focus mode Allow 2 second timer for movies. To disable shake at the beginning of the shot when on tripod Allow manual focus override when in autofocus mode let us change focus direction linear mode for focussing magnify during movie recording magnify time after touch lens 0.5 second LUT support / Bake LUT in camera zebra and focus peaking at the same time 10 bit non linear raw internal non linear raw 10 bit external lossless compressed raw 12 bit raw at 25 frames per second
