  1. How does the nikkor noct compare to that lens?
  2. Nikon z7 plus some old crappy lens?
  3. The butterling and cognitive disonance, very interesting, he should have his own thread and keep his divagations confined in there. @Andrew Reid Is the review coming? Or should we look elswhere?
  4. Ebrahim Salami: The thousand and one faces of pathological narcissism
  5. Oh god please read and understand before posting, Andrew put them one on top of another and turned them together with equivalent focal lengths and he says the eso r is much worse.
  6. @Brian Caldwell doesn't want to make medium format speedboosters ?
  7. Canon Eos 5D Mark ii (2009) Canon Eos R (Fullframe mode) 2018
  8. Nikon tuned the combination for accuracy, so the adquisition is slower but more accurate than the d850.
  9. I want IMAX 8k 16bit 120p for 1999€, I already got the lenses
  10. Actually that part about stills is bullshit, canon and Zeiss lenses are known for high contrast, Nikon goes for medium-high contrast.
  11. Using standard picture style in video is an epidemic. Seems like Nikon shooters are mainly still shooters, reminds me of the old 5d mk ii days.
  12. Thanks bob, but that was a little bit out of focus and in the shade. I wonder what it looks at 1.2 with some contrasty scene.
  13. Thanks doc, I would love a micro review of the 50 1.2 ai-s on the Z7. I love the lens on my F3 and on the D3, but on the d800 it looked pretty bad.
  14. Ask them if they can make a speed booster with tilt shift functions for pentax 67 lenses, it's super hard to get things in focus with large formats.
  15. For people who don't have nikkors this is irrelevant, just don't buy ancient af-d lenses if you want autofocus. The autofocus of af-d lenses is horrible, it's bearable with a DSLR but with a mirrorless were it keeps tracking all the time it would be pure horror (noisy as hell), I'm pretty shure that Nikon didn't do it because of that. Af-d lenses can be used with manual focus, and you will be faster and more accurate focusing by hand than with the hipotétical adapter, so if you want AF sell your AFD stuff from the 90s and get new lenses. KR is a troll, I have AFD lenses too (85 1.4, 28 1.4, 135 DC and 105 2.8) and the best way to use these lenses is on film cameras as they were designed for film and for some reason they loose their beautiful rendering on my d800 and the af precision is not up to the 36mp.
  16. @Andrew Reid we are waiting this one is nice, I'm still looking for some other video but most of the youtube stuff is using the photo picturestyles without NDs which have way to much contrast and motion jitter.
  17. Imagine the hype with this camera having a sticker saying "Canon"
  18. If you can test the old 28-70 2.8 lens with a working af motor it would be nice to know if it works in video. I have a love-hate relationship with that lens, I hate the bulk and broken afmotor but the images are so cinematic... it has a very natural image.
  19. The thin coverglass is great news if you want to use fast vintage glass.
