  1. Maybe that's why Wooden Camera's cage is designed so poorly with regards to hitting the record button as they have another place for the buttons in the pipeline. Sure would help their cause.
  2. I've had nothing but paid gigs with it so far, and with those have been absolutely slammed. When I have footage I can legally share I will. This cam has a nice image. The few you've seen sum it up for the most part, but it clearly isn't perfect and the reasons why have been written (horrible buttons, some FPN in shadows, etc) Still, it is very much like the pocket with 60p and better battery so it is what everyone thought it would be. Despite any shortcomings, I'm glad I own one. 60p with prores and RAW with a nice image we all expect and improved battery life. It isn't bad all things considered.
  3. That's frame dropping. What cards are you using?
  4. It works just fine. I've used it with M43 lenses. I feel if you have all the accessories, the micro is if not a step up from the pocket, a worthy addition to. The noise I've seen is in absolute crap light at 1600iso. I'll know more as I use it in regards to if it pops up on me often in 800, but I haven't noticed it yet.
  5. This is why I love these forums. So simple, but often times people like me don't think of the simple things. Good looking out, righg101!
  6. Been shooting with the Micro for over a week and have shot a ton with the Pocket, which I love. So far, I like what I see out of the Micro and the obvious plusses like 60p and battery life. As Andrew pointed out earlier, the buttons suck. I'm getting better with them, but the record button seems to suck way more than all the others which is just plain unfortunate. There are times when inside my wooden cage (which also sucks) that I fumble around trying to start or stop recording. Major pain in the ass. This wooden cage is going into the spare parts drawer for when I need some mounting options for something McGyvered. Once I do some edits I'll share footage.
  7. Thanks for the reminder, Zak, as I believe I'v read that before in a forum but forgot. I assume we send in the BMPCC SB? Once it is switched I assume it just also fits the BMPCC better?
  8. As much as I rely on their products, another $480 really freaking blows. The wooden camera cage also is not that great when operating this camera. The record button is extremely hard to press with this cage on. Just an FYI for you peeps.
  9. Two questions Lance: Which speedbooster is that? I have both the pocket at the bmcc and neither fit. Is that the Zacuto EVF snap? If so can you shoot 60p with it?
  10. Sweet! Love Borrego. I'm always down to do some shooting. From what I've seen online they look pretty similar. I'm stoked on the obvious frame rate and battery situation, but it will be interesting to see if an IR cut is still necessary. Anyone know?
  11. I can shoot a comparison unless Andrew does. My micro arrives tomorrow.
  12. That looks pretty good. Agreed on cave to exterior.
  13. Thanks for the info. I've been carrying 6-8 batteries per shoot. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, but the Wasabi Power ones get stuck in the battery compartment, which doesn't look too professional. Here's me over in the corner using tools to extract a stupid battery. This should help a bit. I was tempted to just go with a V-mount solution since I have a bunch, but this is way better weight and size-wise.
  14. At my brother's house earlier in the year we watched Paddington with his family on his 70-something inch TV with 240Hz. A movie I'd seen many times with mine on my 60Hz. We all know where this is going ... I almost couldn't watch it. When I said, "lower that Hz rate to something that looks acceptable to the eyes and not craze-balls they all looked at me bewildered. Kind of similar in a way to this discussion. Mattias, you're rated at "666" in this forum BTW.
  15. Their response to me: "Unfortunately, adaptive streaming is the wave of the future of video streaming at Vimeo. If you’re having trouble with a specific video,we’d like to get some more detailed technical information about the playback experience you’re receiving. To do this, I’ll need you to play a video one more time and log the experience with our “debug” tool. Instructions: 1) Open any video you’ve noticed this issue on. 2) Press “D” on your keyboard to open a debug panel in the player. 3) Press play and watch the video for a full minute (or to the end of the video, whichever comes first). 4) Click the blue “Open link” button. 5) Copy the link below the words “Share your results by copying this URL” and send it my way. Be sure to include a description of the problem you’re seeing."
  16. Yeah, I'm very impressed with his images this past week.
  17. I know most of you know this, but those who don't, this old post on BMCuser is blowing up with some pretty exciting new images from the 4.6k for the past few days. It was dead for some time, but seems like every few hours there are some new gems and it's looking really good.
  18. I was pretty out on it, but I'm starting to think this too.
  19. Same thing that gives me pause with the Ursa Mini, even if I end up being sold on the image, is windowed slow mo. If it weren't windowed it may be a no-brainer.
