  1. Regardless of how this topic went, and yes, frustration can do that to any of us I'll still be visiting your site often. I really do appreciate what you've built here. Thank you, Andrew.
  2. So weird. I've worked with the Pocket, Micro and Ursa Mini Pro. Pocket and Micro for years now and have never had a failure with regards to the camera. I guess this could happen with any camera though if you are unlucky in the moment.
  3. Isn't that the case with every camera ever made? I can't imagine anyone on this forum expects perfection from anything they buy, especially not if they read the forum posts here and elsewhere. I can't think of a single piece of gear I own that I don't have something I wish was better or different on.
  4. Thanks for coming back, Captain Hook! Looking forward to seeing some of yours and John's samples soon and having the camera in my hands, of course. I've been really happy with the Ursa Mini Pro so glad to hear they place nicely with each other.
  5. I'm no expert, but listening to the guy from Filmic Pro sounds like the phones are too small and can't handle the heat for such horsepower currently.
  6. I'll start with what I've been using and see how everything looks, then I'll start visiting this and other forums to see what you guys are using and the results everyone may share. Nikon 24-70, 70-200, 35mm F2, 85mm 1.8 Tokina 100 Macro, 11-16 Sigma 50 1.4 Helios 40 and 44, Jupiter 9 Kowa 1.5x
  7. Thank you. It was getting to the point where I was questioning why I even check in. ----- Moza gimbal looks pretty cool, except the screen being partially blocked.
  8. You know you can decide your shutter on a GoPro with Protune? Gone are the days from the Hero3 where exposure was automatic unless you want that.
  9. The Hero6 is a completely different beast from all other GoPros from an image standpoint. The 4k/60 and 2.7k/120 H265 clips are beautiful. The Stills are also a big step up. Don't know about Europe, but in America it's $399 and that is a great deal for a camera like this. The Yi 4K+ is a better camera than the one you own, but not the Hero6. Don't scrimp on Image and features and regret it later. Regarding the OP on low light, check this vid from :40 on. GoPro has never been a low light Camera, but the Hero6 between 400-800ISO is improved over your cam.
  10. Get the Hero6. It's a huge upgrade to the Hero3.
  11. "Pocket is EOL." So glad I own one. I don't think I'll ever get rid of that little magic cam.
  12. I've got a SmallHD 702 Bright and I love it. Had there been a 502 Bright at the time I purchased it I probably just would've bought that, but the size doesn't bother me too much. Sell it and buy the Focus. You can still get great money for one, especially with the sidefinder included. I just sold mine without the sidefinder on eBay and would be able to buy the focus and twice as bright and still have plenty of money left.
  13. I prefer the larger screens but I guess that thing weighs a lot too.
  14. The SmallHD 502 is 400 nits and it's pretty much unusable in the bright sunlight, amazingly even with the hood thingy that I also owned. The BMD at 350 would be no contest to the SmallHD Focus at 800 nits. I don't know what this guy is smoking. Now that I have a monitor that has 1,000 nits I won't go back to anything less. It's just too much of a pain in the ass to battle the sun with a dim monitor and isn't worth the hassle. I guess on a pistol gimbal with the pocket4k you'll have to get what you get unless you hang a monitor from it. At least 350 has to be better than the OG Pocket. What was that, anyone know? 100 nits? It may as well be off for all I know in the afternoon sun.
  15. In other words, not that great in bright conditions.
  16. That's good, because you cannot see the OG in the sun at all. I think someone said it's like the Ursa Mini 4k, which means it's definitely better, but still not super bright.
  17. I can actually see it outside in the daytime, and that is a HUGE advantage to having it. If you haven't used one, the difference between it and so many other monitors is great. If you have, then you know what I'm talking about. I hate that I paid that much for it, but there isn't a day that goes by that I regret the purchase. Oh, and I agree with regards to how much BM is able to squeeze in.
  18. I agree the prices are crazy, but there's no contest at all between the Ursa Mini touchscreen and the SmallHD702. I'm assuming their other daylight viewable are the same?
  19. I'm pretty sure one just came on directly over my head when I read that.
  20. You should be okay. Are your batteries OG Canon or aftermarket? I think this makes a difference. Sometimes looks like batteries are finished charging when they aren't. Sometimes the light won't go on at all so no idea if a certain battery is charging.
  21. I've got two of those. They work pretty well, but not 100% reliable as far as knowing when a battery is actually full. I still like them though and are my primary chargers for my Micro.
