  1. My photo of Jupiter 6 June. The labeled dots are moons. 1) Ganymede, 2) Europa, 3) Io, 4) Callisto. GH5 with 100-400 - I guess i need to underexpose a fair bit?
  2. And weird to look south to see the sun when visiting the North hehe
  3. My try with the GH5 and with the GH4 About due to have another go with the updated firmware.
  4. I'm just going with the flow with the hope you find it entertaining. :D It's something with the tripod isn't it? What I can't work out is how you point the camera at the robot, with the sun apparently behind his head, without lighting, and yet his face is lit up like crazy with no noise.
  5. And yet every GH5 has a red dot on the button which you can't see either... in that shot... Anyway, on something completely different, has anyone seen my black marker pen?
  6. Lovely 6K anamorphic. Makes my 4K screen feel small.
  7. Faces have two eyes, expect a dual lens video camera! One shoots black and white low light, the other colour. Images combined in camera!
  8. You should go buy a PDA camera immediately, else your infatuation will never be sated.
  9. All good videos should have these. So like post number three from this thread?
  10. Looking real good there Luke. You've obviously been working out with a great body.
  11. Click it three times and it opens up full size in another window. Pretty darn amazing. Did you want the product placement?
  12. Best to use existing thread
  13. No he has special issues and incorrect things in all his stuff. Best to stay far far away from "india's best colourist".
  14. Ben likes the hand grip ergonomics, the ibis, the evf. Only 8 bit with 10min limit on 50p.
  15. No V-Log, HDR or anamorphic. But it has Cine-D, Cine-V, 150MBps 4K 60, 180fps full HD. And both 4K and full HD video are using full sensor width, full resolution read out then downsize
  16. This is not advertised for normal circumstances, rather, extreme circumstances. I believe it crops more, yes. And yes, wait for the reviews of a release version, if it is ever released. A lot is from interaction with the company over many years with great periods of no communication or false release info or status. New people are coming on board and there is literally zero difference in status or videos from many years ago when first put forward and the old guard have given up. ^^ this
  17. Film something and knock the side of the camera.
  18. Relatively large motions (low frequency) affect the entire image and thus can be processed out. Higher frequency oscillations show up the rolling shutter coming off a sensor and some processing can be done. The highest frequency oscillations corrupt each frame and little can be done to remove this. What camera do you have?
  19. Micro vibrations to the sensor cannot be taken out by anything in post. IBIS and gimbals have really decreased this a lot. Steadxp just routes external motion data through onto an audio track through the mic port. Unfortunately andrgl doesn't understand it, or the long history of this company that I have followed. I'm sure you've heard many people say to avoid using electronic stabilisation on cameras. Just don't bother
  20. It's really not. Terrible crop which raises artifacts. Only software solution in post and I bet they are using normal frame analysis as well. This cannot fix any sensor jarring. This is based on the assumption that motion sensor data that they gather separately and send through the mic input can improve on electronic IS on board cameras which themselves use motion sensor data actually on-board PLUS other types of post involving picture analysis. Both of which involve less picture degradation. Also this was never aimed at the cinema crowd, it was funded on the basis of small dslrs and action cams. If they are changing that then it shows another failure. Mercali, Warp, Hyperlapse Pro, NewBlue 5, and of course, Reelsteady are clearly superior. I really believe steadxp is a gimmick and borderline something else.
  21. If you select Rec Quality MP4 HEVC ("TV or recorder that supports hybrid log gamma is required") on the GH5, then the available options become 4K 72M 30p and 4K 72M 24p. This is different from selecting Hybrid Log Gamma as a photostyle and using the 400M all-i codec, but it still counts as "4K HDR recording"
  22. All example shots of it over the years have had a huge crop. Technology (software and hardware) has left the idea behind in the dust. Also the delays have left most investors with an underwhelming view of the company. Still not released? I doubt it ever will.
