  1. Ken, but can anyone take that guy for serious? ; ) 1) What sharpness settings to begin with? 2) Most part of his footage is HFR 1080p; 3) YT comments disabled; 4) Look the way he shows off the wife... As much as his clueless lighting and hablando del rey de Roma, things really require much more effort (I'd dare to add my comment as inferred above-posted).
  2. Don, that would be a deal breaker practically in any circumstance other than home videos, but actually... ...the devil is in the settings ;-)
  3. This last paragraph recalls this video here (and that meaningful statement pronounced on minute 1:27): What about to take that thing of settings seriously? I doubt he may find the same outcome going with sharpness dialed at the lowest end of the range, as for instance. Actually, taking appearances seriously instead (see minute 1:22 for example and those ugly shadows in the wall as merely from bad lighting) can be an illusive bitch to the eyes BTW... There should surely be sweet spots for AF usage, as well. The signs are out there: it is just the way to follow them. Straight out of the box? Hard to find their miracles.
  4. I'm sorry to hear that, Jon! No 4G cell phone carriers there? All the best, E :-) Here's the thread on topic: From the GH5 AF complex system, I wouldn't find that even a trouble. There are workarounds, as possible to check it out. Just find them out. :-)
  5. Nice stuff. Funny that Variety targets it for Facebook content creators... LOL http://variety.com/2017/digital/news/dish-slingstudio-hardware-for-facebook-live-1202392811/
  6. Their interest doesn't match, Don, that's the only reason for. It's a shame but it is what it is. Technology democratization didn't fulfill the full cup yet. Industry oblige.
  7. LOL You're quicker to quote me than my edit to my post... (BTW, sent you PM :-)
  8. Exactly same stand point here :-)
  9. Right. I just don't buy the fact every NAB they come to announce unrealistic shipping dates plus a pre-order ticket without key when/if people will put their hands soon on it, so vapourware fits fine on the concept.
  10. LOL : ) Another new quote of the thread!
  11. Only...? No BM pocket v.2 makes no sense, except for Ursa Mini Pro sales.
  12. Oh well, Kinefinity has been in pre-order for ages now... http://www.kinefinity.com/shop/terra_preorder/?lang=en "The price of Preorder is just down payment, NOT the price of the camera." I'd say for a better dream or vapourware then... $149 is too little to add to the camera manufacturing!
  13. Add a few hundred bucks and you can add an external recorder instead...
  14. LOL Right. Lack of new product contenders is not disappointing at all for people praying for their old bets... ; ) Go figure asking to those recent Resolve licence holders... :-D

  16. Nope, not at all : ) Here's the link to the original web page -- not embedded now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbtfON3Rtcg Another low light GH5-by-night:
  17. It is actually 0.64x, not 0.67x :-) "The new Speed Booster XL 0.64x reduces the full-frame crop factor of the Panasonic GH4 from 2.0x to 1.28x, thus effectively transforming these cameras into APS-H format." "For example, a 50mm f/1.2 becomes a 32mm f/0.80" http://www.metabones.com/products/details/mb_spef-m43-bt3 http://www.metabones.com/assets/a/stories/Metabones_Speed_Booster_XL_0.64x_Press_Release_5Jun2015.pdf Stab math is correct.
  18. True. Moreover, I guess GH5 settings may contribute to ease the issue. Actually, I'd like to see testing to fit so well together. Filmmaking is a combo match. People tend to forget it at times.
