GX85 Apart the Japanese menus and to invariably miss the much professional interface design because simplicity is to excel the filmmaking norm matching a superior IQ quality of my P4K, I love my GX85 and my three GH1 units as well, great cams, will never sell not even one of them ; ) Yet on 1080 fence, my two GF5 units instead look like even smaller toys made of dreamlike and reliable standards anyway. Wonderful tiny capture device format factor BTW. MFT is the best format ever, let alone the incredible unique light glass itself when not for peanuts price : P If you'd just want a 4K bargain to add to your arsenal, buy the G7 (I only have four of them! LOL : ) you'll be able to get in the range of 300-400 bucks. On those words, I just try to resume the framework which grounds my MFT option route. I confess : D cams are an addition, so we need to buy good for affordable... : X E : -)

A colleague of mine just bought one unit same specs, brand new, sealed box, $550, same seller from the contact forwarded from me. He told me they still had a few units in stock. Seems old stock. I've just written them to ask for replacing the one I bought used ($400) paying the difference obviously.

This is what I simply hate about the legacy of Japanese cameras. They want to make us stupid, the impression left. Or that we need to be all geeks. They are the stupid part of the equation. Not the users. Without mention photography requires a minimalist operator interface. ISO, shutter, and access to a simple menu to mainly coordinate a few automatic or monitoring features if needed, WB and not much else. The example of the upcoming Sharp 8K. Oh yeah, I just bought two gimbals like new for almost peanuts... : ) They lose value as soon as they end open box. A 16GB RAM tablet (100% same specs and model of the one I'm typing now also purchased from a fraction of the price) last week for a seventh of the price in my native market! Andrew, I know you have your reasons as far as Blackmagic concerns, but I've been loyal Panasonic customer (before to jump there, Sony was my first video and digital love) until the day I started to use the Pocket series. Never wanted to look back. That's a cinema tool but not only in the name : ) 12-bit but not only, focus assist or the camera interface, as for instance, make the WHOLE difference to me (E : -)
