  1. 26mm macro switar....16mm ccd sensor and baby moller would be sublime match.   i collect fast lens have a few of the old greats 1 would suggest that some of the switars are very usable at 1.1. clearly at f1.4-1.8 it starts getting very handy.
  2. i did years ago with a real bolex also with the gh1. a lot of the variables are to do with lens condition abuse, budget optics. the top line switar where used by bbc type natural history cameramen some where treated well others abused from a life spent in jungle or ice.   i always found the original olympus pen lens more interesting with iscorama back in the day just a case of trying matching. some of the most expensive optics i had did not match well with iscorama.most stuff works.  like making love to a fat girl it works but you get the feeling while you are doing it that it kind of isn't as good as it could be.
  3. kern the maker switar was taken over and asset stripped by leica, you see some of the lens they made especially for the lovely alpa camera the lens where to good. kern swiss and kinoptik france where masters of optical perfection in the realm of apo light ray correction two very low key companies making optical perfection low production high end expensive.   the c mount optics that kern made where variable the kinoptik supreme. the fast kern optics like the 1.4s and especially the macro switars where simply fantastic optical gems. the 26mm f1.1 was an incredible optical design. buying switar for anamorphic is not a good idea as a stand alone great but not just for anamorphic also the good stuff goes for good money now. i have plenty of kern but never got excited about matching with iscorama what camera system is it for/
  4. a few of mr anderson's inspirations methinks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Cb3ik6zP2I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8Ciz1G_Zm0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdZMw0Q1B38 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-uxeZaM-VM
  5. viva rebellion. viva la revolution will not be televised or hd sensorised.   kodak film stocks old and new cooke lens including new cooke anamorphics.   a brave act in these shallow times of knock it out  release digical diabolical. kodak and fuji  film is dead long live the analogue anderson.
  6. i have an idea buy something in an auction rather than buy it now. sankor 16c or 16f buy a shit clamp or a good one and you are shooting with 1 small hand no pick up truck no stinking grip,no head or legs or dolly. how cool is that : ) if you are feeling at an iscorama loss put some tape across the sankor name and write super sharp compact isco iscorama
  7. poetry english style : ) chris is way to much the polite english gentlemen.
  8. what the hell is he selling a camera a support a follow focus system or just a shitty old drive in lens ; )   open an ebay dispute get your money back run away run away. give the sucker  neg feedback if he gives you any crap it is not an iscorama.   just because other clowns have purchased the same things does not make you part of an elite just another sucker who made a bad investment. just sayin. if you have plenty of cash and like using stuff once before you get bored and stick the 2kg door stop in the cupboard  it may be perfect for you. just sayin

  10. schhh get rid quick the moller is tired history the future is bright it is 1.33. we sorry few lunatics have hit an iceberg. gentlemen we are going down. no band to play for us. no buxum breasted irish girl for a last romantic dance. just the ice winter cold of the deep sea drink.
  11. no romance just the intel for a make it up as you go along price scenario. no back story. no crusty history to bore the young folks who nose it all. just nuttin. hello my dad worked on the mk ultra brain erase program in the late 60s he has given me one of his retina projection optics it is called iscorama. dual squashed images where projected into each eyeball via face diopter googles with mini view screen attachments. cinemascope images of naked girls into one eyeball blood and guts ultra violence into the other.   dad said he had hours of fun with this optic but ho hum it has gotta go.   the lens has been cleaned of dried blood, spit and distemper and it is ready to go. anyone any idea which model this is ? my dad loved his job working on the cia operation gladio kill projects. but he told me to sell this sucker quick before the coming price collapse.
  12. pleassse please for the love of sweet baby jesus no :) not that link any link but that even a tin of spam luncheon meat anything but that liar. edit if the seller of that optic is a member here sorry i got carried away but stop calling it iscorama already. it not honest decent or true is it.
  13. a new capitalist revolution my friend i pay you to take my tin products and i thank you as well. how dare you call it a clamp it is a screw on adapter. it is the curvy scarlett johanhanssonson of the clamp i mean adapter world. scarlet from a few years ago when she was in japan with bill murray. my adapters will be young un fresh . not like dog tired  brad pitts and angelina jolly smokin bong dope stoned with 20 kids running around a french chateau . fresh and sleek like young scarlett of old : )
  14. SUPER CHEAP ISCORAMA 54 GOING http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/8372/slr-magic-anamorphot-133x-50-/p3 P13DM SAYS HE WILL SWAP his isco 54 FOR AN SLR MAGIC anamorphic. sounds good to me but could be a marketing ploy : ) boris the talented software hacker owner of that site keeps deleting my messages have asked pm13dm to email me. if that person is on here pm me for a trade. if he does not want to deal with me someone should get a good deal if the isco is not wrecked.
  15. i a making 2 new screw adapters for the small isco 36 type one split in 2 parts so using one part you much closer optic to optic coupling. the other a very posh screw thread system that you can wind the 52mm thread in towards the isco or out towards the taking lens. you can change the optic to optic relationship difference in a pretty big range giving you super close distance or standard distance. quickly changing adapter position depending on your taking lens. you can also use this the adapter to change orientation another issue with old isco is the internal orientation system can get rough or difficult or sometimes uncouples over time
  16. a rehouse will get you a couple of hundred grams less than a 54. i now believe the rehouse needs a support i was recently doing some tests with a director at ridley scotts company in london and the rehouse weight made me nervous without support.   the external components on the original isco 50 and 36 are not the issue it is the restrictions on the compact internals. the 54 and 42 are much more robust big leica style brass helicoid.   the isco 36 suffers from freezing or seizing up of focus not an issue if you get a bernie o service. using a rehouse just on the screw thread connection is crazy i think.   54 get's a bad rap bad alignment crummy quality servicing and folks shooting weird tests with shit plastic ashpheric zoom lens which introduce horrible distortions.
  17. don't say that i have been accused of being a no nothing racist for droning on about the baby moller.   and yet it is unique 1958 technology that is state of the art today. but what do i nose A.
  18. i would love to see some tests you do good tests : ) my baby zeiss is with bernie o at 16.9 in pieces as it is missing a part lost by a repair guy got to get it sorted as i think it is better than the iscomorphot. moller puts them all in the shade. nobody canna beata a moller nobody not even isco
  19. i think bioskop may have my isco 54 it was an ex nasa lens from white sands air base army surplus. one of the last iscorama made and a match for many hollywood scope optics in resolution terms. better made than the technovision optics used on that brando martin sheen vietnam movie. it was probably never used so perfect condition tiny bit of dust inside a beauty very modern no lo fi retro feel here. it is like if leica made an anamorphic it would be like that lens super high res nicely corrected pure quality.
  20. here here ed lee will clear this sticky mess up once and for all. he has this new slr lens to beat all. singlet doublet triplet who nose? it will still work any ways century modest or iscorama gold. 2 bits of bk7 is not to be sneezed at it really is a good recipe for it's price point. a very good start hurrah 3 cheers it works and nice price. but folks do not feel pity for the century, the optex and panasonic. feel sorry not for the con men clamp wranglers they had a good innings. what weird bent anamorphic times was had by these low rent low res sub hd hustlers. the future is now the focus needed pulling last week. good times for all who embrace the new ways. forward men leave the crap focus dead beat old optics behind. just wait and be awed by some new generation hard focus pulls, the likes of which you have never seen before. bring it on eye says.
  21. no point old chum we are on different frequency good look wid your lens why argue your the king i keep sayin it. your cocksmanship always wins it must be good they based the design on your ideas intel. and had nothing to do with century.
  22. hot burnin roads  a texan midnight toilet trading cowboy talks of clamp cobbler corruption. tracking shot king i cannot wait for your shots of the fat girls of your home town. joe buck der king of der bent glass has spokenun : ) nuttin wrong wid be in queer fella you should stand proud. dontes talk of my corruption talk of your own foulness. bring it on trackin shot cowboy then beat some man meat to earn some pennies for your plastic new asia optiques.   butt kid hows about save your pennies and buy an iscorama and give us all a rest.
  23. no bullshit here andrew what am i sayin. i said it will not be based on the focus century as complexity would mean cost would be at letus levels. both lens will be good but they will not be cemented corrected doublets. they are simple single element optics with an airgap. try a moller at f1.4 try these new lens and tell us about state of the art optics. user friendly with a good price yes but nothing nasa here. since nasa is dead it is up to china to take us to the stars but not for a few more years methinks. but what a price not many can beat it. "We are the slr Borg.  letus Lower your shields and surrender your ships.
  24. hot burnet got a good deal from slr magic man. talks freedom from vintage price enslavement. pleads for revolutions of single point focus then slags off a company letus for trying. for your info it is the same glass types as the slr magic a china version of schott glass germany. both companies probably using the same glass house both slr and letus are same family with the letus a bigger range of astigmatic focus. just quality control and specification issue price related, higher the spec better quality control more the cost.   so darling, alf garnet  archie bunker here  says i got a small dick in me pants please put your small tool away 2.   let us both agree that we both nose nothing.   let us agree eye nose less.
  25. if you are talking about the rare focus century it will not be like that. that was 3 times the price of the non focus century.   i have 3 of those very nice full focus helicoid quality product perfect fo m/43 still not an iscorama but better than panasonic big chunk of glass.
