So volunteers are basically early bird buyers who cannnot return items, cannot select which ones they want (forcing to buy the 35mm is quite absurd) and have to make a short video for free giving SLR commercial rights on it. In return? 20% discount on the whole package, plus probably shipping and taxes which bring the price at starting point, if not higher. Forgive me if I cannot be so enthusiastic about it as others..

  C'mon Andrew; your'e sitting on a mountain of choice glass which no doubt includes the aforementioned lens range and it did not cross your mind to see how this thing performed with them. What kind of review is that?   You got me thinking that you may have sold yourself cheap for the price of a pizza  :rolleyes:   Asking folks to spend $799 or more without an option for a refund is illegal business practice in the European Community, as it contravenes distance selling regulations, inciting folks to do it is an entirely different ball game (cf bollocks!)   So what is the answer to my question - let me guess - B-L-U-R ?

The low light on the Mark 3 raw is a step up from the BMCC, plus the highlights are really pleasant.  All of these cameras come with an armada of adjectives that can't really evoke what "exactly" they are doing & no one can put their finger on.... but in the Raw Mark 3 / ScarletX comparison video, I will say the Scarlet looks more like.....  film.  (There it is.  lol.)  -  (Though it is a miniscule and probably opinionated preference in the video)  It looks like it's more in the mid tones between the Mark 3 raw and everyone else.    but man....  this looks incredibly sexy:   http://vimeo.com/71692234   Mark 3 raw...    The only gripe I'd say is the $700 Lexar 128gb 1000x card that's actually rated dependable, but gets you only about 30 minutes of footage.  To me, the Komputer Bay cards seem way too hit and miss with all of the horror stories I've heard...  Then again many people have them and they're fine... but I'd rather not be "crossing my fingers" when I spent my $$$$. 

I'd love to hear some feedback on the newest development from DSO..    A streak filter for TRUMP, to work in partnership with oval apertures to get as close as possible to a convincing anamorphic look, without the complicated cylindrical elements.     http://vimeo.com/75175593     Hans_Punk and myself have been beavering away in the development of this, and know there are a few weak points, but our intention is to create something usable, while maintaining the sharpness and ease of use by keeping things spherical and resorting to the dreaded crop:)   Priority is to nail the TRUMP module, but ultimately this technique will see integration into the FF58 and upcoming FF35mm and FF90mm     Feel free to be nasty!
