  2. Highly unlikely they'll produce two versions. More than likely you purchase the base kit which is basically a GoPro and then for X dollars more you can purchase the cinema kit which will be a new faceplate that has some type of mount. Probably a weird bayonet or c-mount. From there, they'll sell you adapters to PL, EF, etc... The screen will go away on the cine plate but they may leave an hdmi port for a monitor. Once you unsnap the faceplate, you can unplug the screen which you can reconnect to the hdmi port... or whatever. Either way, interesting camera.
  3. Pretty sure your guess is right : ) Would anything else make more sense nowadays? And here's the most recent teaser just released one day ago. 11.3 million subscribers there... WOW Twice the number of DJI and 8x the number of Insta360... Anything else to say? ; ) 'cause as of now, Insta360 and DJI action cameras clearly beat theirs.
  4. replicate the simplicity of iMovie HD with some modern tools.
  5. I’m probably biased as both a Nikon Df user and someone who thinks these two are pricks but even so I wasn’t sure that my contempt towards these two could get any bigger but here we are. They even went after the Leica CL. Of course if any of the cameras on their list was released today they would be shilling the shit out of it. Because that’s what they are, paid promoters of newness. No new gear, no pay day. Not exactly overflowing with content about great used alternatives that channel is it ? And that tells you all you need to know about them as a serious resource.
  6. Here is the "Retro Foto House" mod done in Ukraine
  7. I've been a user of (Sonic Foundry/Sony/Magix) Vegas since it evolved into video editing software in 2000 (the first version was audio-only). Although I've strayed away from it a few times over the intervening 25 years, I've always gone back to it because I like the way it works. I'm currently running (Magix) version 22, the first BorisFX version is Vegas Pro 2026 (derived from Magix version 23). It's MS Windows-only though...
  8. This guy has made a great tool to make Resolve super easy to use. In his examples he makes pretty great looking grades within seconds, and it's all done inside the EDIT page, using the viewer as a slider canvas. Drag up for more, drag down for less.
  9. Just follow the instruction manual. : D

  11. "See through you we can" Even Their opening frame looks like click bait, and the content just adds to decline of reputation.Tony "North by Northwest" bagged out Nikon years ago when it was obvious he was being wined and dined by Canon.Go Tony fade into your background blur.
  12. Nikon has a new boss An optics engineer... not an accountant. Wishing him well for the future...

    Lenses

Been using the GH6 with the cheap 7artisans 24mm 1.4. I really like the lens, are there any other 7artisans hidden gems?
  14. Jordan is filming on Aizu primes in his bedroom. These are $8000 lenses for a YouTube talking head So he's a guy who knows a thing or two about creativity. But the cameras they have picked for this video make you wonder whether the fundamental judgement is there or not. They must have had their hands on just about every camera now, so aren't lacking in experience. The Nikon Df is also in their slagging off list along with the lovely X-Pro3! The Df... That's a bloody wonderful little tool to use, a pure pleasure and hands down the best optical viewfinders you can get - better than most pro level DSLRs, so unique in that respect. And it's really pretty. The Olympus E-M1X is one of the most ergonomic and nice to hold camera designs ever made. Chris acknowledges this yet it's the main focus of the YT thumbnail Best grip ever, built like a tank, really fast and flawless stabilisation. It stands head and shoulders above the ergonomics of the G9 II or Panasonic full frame bodies of 2026. I just don't get these guys... Dumb as fuck.
  15. Gotta find a retired old dude that's now an aspiring guitarist -- that used to work in production in the 90's and happens to be sitting on a closet full of short ends. Shouldn't be too hard, right?
  16. One of my retro-sounding tracks sounds even more retro now: "ROCKIN WITH CAPED CRUSADER CAT" (LoFi) is this week's brand new music track. It's 100% free to use with attribution, just like my thousands of other music tracks and sounds. You can listen to it here: https://soundimage.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Rockin-with-Caped-Crusader-Cat_LoFi.ogg And download it here: https://soundimage.org/action-3/ Enjoy! 🙂
  17. Some PL lenses don't cover full frame. Most vintage ones were intended only for use on Super 35, but some have image circles big enough for vistavision/full frame.
  18. Does that mean "wealthy musician" or perhaps musician that has some very handy connections to Kodak ?
  19. How about doing a music video for a musician?
  20. good question- looks like 1.85:1 was the norm.Hitchcock sure liked using it https://www.widescreenmuseum.com/widescreen/wingvv1.htm
  21. Was vista vision really a 3:2 aspect ratio like full frame, even if it's for the cinema screen?
  22. If they make an adaptor for Nikon Z is it likely to be PL mount ? At 33 secs he says PL lenses don't cover a full frame sensor so you are limited to APS-C crop mode .Hopefully M42 to PL and Nikon F to PL will give full frame coverage
  23. most of these cameras were used with film in the academy ratio which had a sound track taking up some of the film.the image size is very close to APS-C.Super 35 did away with the sound track allowing for a larger image on the same size film.
