Hello friends, Over the summer I've been hard at work on my first feature. It's a self-funded, shoestring project that I've been shooting on a Zcam s6 with a lomo foton anamorphic. I feel like Zcam's are still pretty fringe, but I've actually been loving the combo. I've been shooting in 5k 5:6 mode in prores 422, so the file sizes are pretty enormous by my standards (I usually edit 4k Amira or bmpcc4k prores). I'd like to edit the feature with proxies, but I'm not sure about the best way to ensure an easy relink on the other side. I'm assuming I should make proxies of the files straight out of camera...before desqueezing 2x. Then I would desqueeze the proxies and just replace the footage after picture lock??? I'm editing in Premiere. Davinci is also an option if there's a compelling reason to switch! Any advice before I dive in? Thank you so much! Andrew

This was filmed on BMMCC with Zeiss Superspeeds (the ones with the rollei aperture, no less!) It's what sold me on the camera years ago:

I think if the seller doesn't list the RGB444 upgrade in the item description, it's probably safe to assume it's not present. Like others have maybe said already, it was an update that came fairly late in the game for the F3, and I think anyone who's trying to offload one today knows that it's a huge selling point. They're probably not going to throw it in as an unspoken freebie.

Does anyone know if the Z Cam s6G has officially dropped? It was listed with the firmware releases and I just saw this: https://www.soltyscameras.com/product-page/z-cam-s6g-6k-super35mm-global-shutter-cinema-camera-rental I'm pretty much ready to leave Blackmagic for Z cam and this would be the nail in the coffin.
