  1. I can confirm that the battery doesn't drain with the power off or at least not in short amount of time. If you leave it overnight, the result might differ. And after 6.1, I could get pretty consistent 55 min - 1 hour of use for each battery. As for time to power on: 3-4 seconds. Time to power off: 2-3 seconds
  2. Braw drop start from 15:30 mark. It's finally here. DNG Raw will be removed and replaced by BM raw. I have never been a big fan of DNG raw anw.
  3. Gosh now I wish I have never asked ?. The hunt begins
  4. Thanks I would give it a shot once I've caught up with my projects. Coming from Vietnam, I have to say that screenshot you took really reminds me of home Thanks for the kind words. It is a really lovely len. I'm planning to get the 85 1.5 reissue and a focal reducer for m43-m42 as well. If only there is a wider angle len with the same look, I would be set.
  5. fan noise is cheap and easy to fix. I haven't done it myself since it never bothers me that much. as for colour this guy has shown it pretty good in this video. even though godox is the one I'm using atm and being quite a bit cheaper. I'd vote for boltzen 55w due to the size and weight.
  6. as Turboguard said I'm still struggled with colour a whole video correctly. Before this camera my workflow is pretty much slap on a decent lut => tweaked a few thing and deliver. My goal this year is to try to up my colour skill. This is a video that I did while strolling the street of Melbourne. The sound is actually the on board mic since I din't expect such a performance
  7. I'm more into these little guy
  8. I have to say for a cinema camera the still I managed to pull out of it is pretty incredible perfect for thumbnail like this
  9. Do you have any portable power solutions? I’m thinking about getting a electric generator for mine
  10. thanks Emanuel. I did a search before hand but it didn't turn up. My bad. Btw still waiting for your good news on the gimbal
  11. I feel strange that there is no mention of this: http://www.tearlachwales.com/batbox4k Using 4 x 18650 for 2.5 hours which is about 20 USD for 2.5 hours. Probably the minimalist solution have seen so far and it works wonder. Tea is a great guy to deal with and I would recommend his service.
  12. I have just seen this popped up. Is this the answer for our suffering.
  13. sorry mate. I have no experience with the 256gb card. I shoot ssd only for faster editing workflow and sometime same day edit.
  14. my guess is the same. the principal is similar to how adding extension tube gives your lens marco capability. I've just bought some marco extension tube to play around with.
  15. the Viltrox EF-M1 is one such thing. it's a smart adapter without the focal reducer. As per your solution, I tried to remove the focal reducer optic from my Viltrox EF-M2 once and I could not focus my 18-35 at all. The minimum focus distance seems to be pushed to really far away. I have not figured out the reason why.
  16. thank you so much I will have a look at the dng file when I get home. But at first glance I haven't notice any nasty glowing effect like my viltrox
  17. I can't ask for more. Please take your time. If it's possible could please you shoot something with white colour? I found white subject seems to suffer the most.
  18. I'm more concerned about the glowing effect when wide open than everything else. I have viltrox atm and while I hardly use anything below 2.0, having extra stop of light never hurts
  19. Has any one here tried out the lens regain from aputure? Could someone please share their experiences? I saw a coupe youtube video about it but still want some real world opinion with bmpcc4k
  20. I'm not a professional photographer but I do some landscape and portrait for hobby. let's just say the eos r is like a 5D mk IV in mirrorless form with EVF and cheaper. And one of the best ergonomic to hold. What's not to like?
  21. I do believe that the samsung T5 issues only isolated to the 500gb or 250 gb models. I have 1Tb and 2Tb versions and never have any problems connecting. The 500 gb I tested on the other hand did established some trouble connecting pre FW6.1 As we are all aware even in the same line of media the higher capacity normally have higher spec. I suspect this unreliable ssd connection issue coming from the fact that BM should have quoted the specific model in their list instead of the whole line up.
  22. the same that I used only different capacity. This is one thing I don't understand why people keep complaining about how expensive media this camera use. You can use dirt cheap card or cheap ssd. why the hate?
  23. I managed to do that with my 32gb card lying around
  24. better watch this. I don't know what you guys think but for 2.5k I think we have a winner.
  25. that's why I still stick with my glidecam. nothing changes for the last 10 years except the price tag
