  1. I have to say i'm little annoyed by the fact that it took so long for them to roll out braw. It's understandable that they need time to make it right but that 12:1 braw is oh so tempting Same here. As someone who enjoys the creativity in the editing room, I love what this camera brings to the table. Post processing is one reason I didn't go with xt3. Lovely camera and IQ but that HEVC codec is a system killer
  2. I for one have the issue with viltrox with glowing image at wide open aperture which has been documented in here. https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=81437 Anyone has the same issue or a quick fix ? most of my work is either outdoor or with light so F2 is where I'm normally at but I would like to use 1.2 on sigma once in a while
  3. what Emanuel said or just simply multiply what every you have with a factor of 1.42 (even through in case of the bmpcc 4k it's more like 1.3) to get the 35mm ff equivalent.
  4. how do you find it? I'm wondering if I should get that or the smallrig.
  5. personally, I've just used false colour all the time. would be nice if there is waveform but false colour works well enough for me
  6. they have the aluminium P-204s and EP-204s for half the price of carbon fiber and only weight a slightly bit heavier. Out of those two, the P series is similar to the 424 I have while the EP is a newer lighter model white different base but I haven't tested it yet. I prefer 500 head to 502 for monopod because of lighter weight. The 500PL is compatible with 501PL system but not the other way around. If you want, just switch the base plate to 500PL and you should be fine. I would not recommend it at all, tested it in the shop and the thing is wobbly like hell. Those tiny feet just doesn't cut it
  7. Horses for courses. if you talking about long interview or any kind of long still shot then tripod is better but if you have to use it in an event situation like wedding monopod wins all day long. I only use tripod for my B-cam during ceremony and 1st dance nowadays. My A cam stays permanent on the monopod or glidecame. To the OP, stay far away from any manforotto monopod. This vide summed up my experience quite well. my setup is a sirui 424 and manfrotto 500 head which can handle BMPCC4k and sigma 18-35 without any issues
  8. there is one thing that I found over the years working in a different industry is that the gear could be under spec but have to be reliable. It is a shame that the fuji suffered this much QC issue since I quite like the handling of fuji camera, their customer service and after sale support.
