Just an idea, and not sure if it will work, but aren't there media players that will let you install a LUT?

Like, if you put the free false-colour LUT into VLC and looked at it that way?

    have no idea.

and not sure it would be as accurate as a real soft made for it.

    stiil looking  for the soft

I think somebody needs to keep me honest, but it's possible that the Ursa mini 4K, 4.6k, and 4.6k pro gen 1 all have Fairchild sensors. I honestly forgot all about the URSA Mini 4k, but I am assuming that is Fairchild as well. I did not think that the 4.6k Pro Gen 1 had a Fairchild sensor, but I could be wrong and it seems it might.

worth cjecking i guess when you see the prices. could be a great alternative to be the bmpcc6K

Also for anyone reading this that has slightly deeper pockets and is ok with a larger camera and still wants the same "magic" in the footage - I forgot to mention that the URSA Mini 4.6k (not the pro!) also uses a Fairchild sensor and the footage is simply gorgeous. Just throwing out options for folks who prefer the Fairchild look. I have not used that specific camera, just have seen the footage - so I am not aware of its quirks.

only the 4.6k or the 4k has it too ?

the ursa mini is only 300€ more expensive than the pocket 6k at the moment

  4. hi all

i am on vacations and took my laptop which is out of age. tried to install dvr 16 but no way... error message at launch.

thing is i shot quite a few clips since i am here and i just want ot check everything is ok and i don't need to reshoot some of them.

is there any "light" soft that i could install to check with a histogram or scope etc...

If anyone is curious, I just finished up a piece shot about 50 percent with the pocket. This was graded by a colorist.

The other half is Super 8 and there's maybe 4/5 shots with the GH5.

This might not make sense if you don't live in Seattle but maybe relatable. Anyway. Shot with the OG bmpcc.

and vimeo is advertising it. nice !!

  8. it seems that the stabilization of my canon 28mm 2.8 is not working with the fringer / xt3

i don't see any difference on the screen when i activate / deactivate the is.

am i the only one having this ? don't really know how to be sure and test it as it is the only stabilized lens i took with me on vacation.

Probably rolling shutter should be better on the P4K (can anyone confirm the rolling shutter on the P6K), but the P6K could surprise us here ?

seems to be exactly the same. see tom antos first review of the bmpcc6k

Exactly, that's because of VAT. State is such a thief! Strange seen from abroad, isn't it? But it is what it is. You located in the Russia, a former communist paradise, you pay less for this product (same for US) than living in Europe. Funny, yes or no? ; -)

depends, if you are a pro then vat doesn't matter as you get it back and basicaly pay non vat.

to me it doesn't matter then but good to know that eu price includes vat
