So, I have my X-T3 enroute and with a 2nd possible in the next month.

Just to give me a good baseline... What are the absolute best settings for video? I will be running most of the time on a Ronin, so what AF settings should I be using?

depends on what you are shooting

If the gain is significant and the cost is similar - er let me think about that.....

    ?

i mean not sure it is so good for video editing ;)

but why would it be worst... yeah that is a good option though

  4. hi all

wondering if it would be a good id to go straight to a 2070 GC instead of a  1070.

2070 prices are not that far from 1070 and the gain might be significant.

    what do you think ?

I don't find it disappointing at all. What similar camera you have for the price?

I get more than one solution for everything you've just mentioned...

    Every single one of them...

This camera is still a milestone. You just need to know how to shoot with it : -)

at what price does it ends up if you add all solutions you need ?

maybe is it better to spend a bit more in camera and less in accesories to fix the flaws of the camera

Has anyone tested the XLR + Phantom Power?

I've been using it a lot and keep getting a lot of BrRrrrrRrRRRRRRBBRrBBRRRhhsshhh all over all of my audio. It's actually really anoying and hard to filter out. I've tried 4 different cables, 6 differnt mics and 2 BMD XLR adapters. The garbled noise is on all of them to varying degrees. Strangely, I have found 1 mic, a lav, that doesn't have the sound but does need 48v power.

I can't get to the bottom of it!

EDIT: Using the same mics and cable into my Zoom does not result in the funky noise - so it must be something on the camera's end of the chain. Fingers crossed it's the type of thing that can be fixed in a software update (doubt it)

EDIT 02: When I use a lav that doesn't need phantom power, the signal is clean and there's no issue... so I just need to use mics that can power themselves... NTG4+ I guess?

sounds like a mass problem, maybe bad electrical insulation in the bm4k ?

would be nice to test same cables with another bm4k

  7. had the ronin S with a canon R in hands today, not light

the canon r is about 200g lighter than the BM4K, lens what big though but i am planning to use full frame lenses on my BM4K so waiting to see some lighter solutions to come

@Anaconda_ The US site says that it is on "pre order" status. Do not think is available, or will ever be.

i did preordered one, talked with sales threw email and they didn't say that it was out of stock, so far my preorder is still on.

i guess they would have told me if there were any problem

  9. no i am not, i use premiere so far but plan to switch to resolve for all

only adobe soft i will use is photoshop

amd graphic cards are about the same price i find, i'll look into it

  10. and this comment from b&h

    "B&H Photo Video

The Weebill Lab Gimbal is really geared towards Mirrorless Cameras. We would not recommend it with a camera like the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. It may not properly balance. Thanks! -Joey P"

don't know why as the weight isn't an issue, size is not a problem for the ronin s so shlouldn't be one either here
