How I wish a camera manufacture will include vari ND in the body of a mirrorless body.
that would be great.
too bad also you have to choose between vari nd with focus and speedbooster and focus, would love to have vari nd with focus and speedbooster
-
well i guess it controls the camera and the camera is controlling the lenses so it is about the same.
at least you have one apendix less if you can control focus with the gimball, makes it lighters too

seems like we might have some new speedboosters coming soon as vigneting is pretty strong on all of them

actually they sell a pack with the follow focus motor which is a bit more expensive.
i think follow focus button will be compatible with some cameras such as gh5 and sony, just use a cable and focus will be handled by the gimball
not so sure it can do that with BM4K
-
i don't know what they mean by follow focus but the external follow focus motor doesn't come with it
-
V2 isn't on the us store so far.
-
i think for most of them you'll need to add a monitor for the BM

waiting for the crane 3 to come out in a few days

-
crane 3 is out very soon

this would help

oh ok i thought it was to be the same gc, but if they can be different then even better yes.
do you know if all MB accept that ?
this guy is putting almost everything on hard drives
-
at a time i was thinknig going for 32go ram and a 1070 to buy a second 1070 few monthes later when they go cheaper, but not sure lots of motherboards can handle that and not sure either that it would help

They are not that heavy ( you get 3 options) and what ton of hardware does he mean?. Any rig that can handle 4k high compression video files should be able to handle RAW and even the camera media is dirt cheap if you use an ext SSD esp when compared to internal cards needed for other cameras. Also you are not forced to use RAW as it's an option.
his point is why spending so little money in a camera to shoot raw when it will cost you 5k to process it (he means computer, storage...)

just on comments under the video they say it is, which is great news

that is a good thing thanks
so far i am going for a ryzen 2700x, sounds good to you guys ?
will have 32 to 64 go ram and 1070 or 1080 gc

but i isn't it hard to deal with prores on pc no ?

i don't have the camera yet but planning to buy xt3 or bmpcc 4k or both

seems he has issues with all his batteries and he has canon ones, actually his first move was to remove the "crap" battery delivered with it to replace it with a canon one.
at the ends he ends up saying ot os a really good deal for the price.
also says that it is strange to offer "raw" wether this is not real raw as you buy a cheap camera to run so heavy files that will cost a ton in hardware.
first camera showed is the black magic
-
for french people
to summ up he really loves the image quality but hates the plastic build and the power management
he had many issues with the camera going 20% to shutting off with no warning what so ever, the result was the loss of the file he was shooting

i think i will priorize resolve as working on photoshop takes less time.
i mean rendering is really long when retouching is so fast compared to, so even if i loose a little time on photoshop i will gain a lot on resolve.
sounds good to you ?
