  1. Thats awesome! I’ve already ordered the Weebill thinking I’d be the test pilot to offset the camera etc. at least now I know where to start haha. This little gimbal looks perfect for lightweight shoots.
  2. I can get to checkout that way, but can’t select a delivery address outside US/Canada.
  3. I still can't work out how to buy on in Europe though. I keep getting a 'cart is empty' message on the US store. I ONCE got to the address page, but I couldn't select postage outside of US/Canada. Anyone want to hold my hand through the process?
  4. Well then is there a difference between the 'Creator Package Follow Focus Controller' and the 'Master Package CMF-04 Servo Follow Focus' Why have just the controller?
  5. 1:34 - Included with the unit is going to be the external focus gear and external lens support for longer manual lenses.
  6. That's what the Zhiyun focus is. You put the cable tie thing around the lens and the motors pushes or pulls it around. The one on the Ronin S is entirely software driven, and it's made that gimbal drop significantly in my 'which gimbal should I get?' list. Titla's option is nice, but a lot more expensive than Zhiyun's offering.
  7. At 1:47 in that video, he says 'The key feature that it comes with is the follow focus servo' - but it could be some weird translation thing, or mis wording his sentence as neither of them are speaking their first language. I thought it was an optional extra too. Do you know if it's the same motor as the one for the Crane 2, or a new motor? @Andrew Reid - yeah, same with the Ronin S, although they include the adapter plate already. There's loads of videos on YouTube of the P4k on the Crane 2 so it's definitely manageable. I assume it's the same with the Weebill, and I guess I'll find out when my order comes through.
  8. According to this video from photokina, the Weebill comes with the follow focus and the WiFi streaming thing as standard. This seems like a very hard gimbal to beat for its weight class. In fact, I just placed my order and should receive it around the 14th November.
  9. Yes, but it’s $229. Zhiyuns follow focus is €80. Sure the tilta nano can be used on an off a gimbal, but my needs don’t require that. It also comes for free with the Crane 2, and both are available right now, which makes that package extremely tempting. (For me).
  10. Weebill and follow focus for me. Pending tests. If for some reason it doesn’t work out, Crane 2 and follow focus. weebill is due out in the next week or 2 so I imagine those tests aren’t far away.
  11. Zihyun have already done it, and its €79.
  12. The follow focus is an extra, but €79 here, so defientely managable. The Ronin S is also not wide enough, but they include an extra mounting plate to offset the camera. I doubt there's any reason you can't do the same with this little thing. Due out in a week or so - I'll hold fire on my purchases and see if other people can get it balanced.
  13. Will that support the pocket though? 3lb load. If it does, and has some kind of follow focus, it's a winner.
  14. Yeah true, but that means the options are: Ronin S + Titla FF - at least €1k Crane 2 with free FF - €600 Question answered ?
  15. I've been waiting on buying a gimbal until the Ronin S is updated so the focus wheel can work with this camera - however, I just thought that since the focus on that gimbal is via the USB on the camera, and the camera then controls the focus, that likely means that adapted lenses won't be compatable... right? If tap to focus doesn't work with a speedbooster, then chances are this 'software' follow focus also won't work. Would it then be better to get the Crane 2 as their 'hardware' / mechanical follow focus is now included for free. Yes you'll have part of the gimbal blocking your screen, but that's far easier to work around than the Ronin's focus issues (if there are any with adapted lenses). Or am I missing something and there's an even better solution?
  16. Check out the Weebill LAB it’s teeny, and they’re supposedly working on support for focusing the P4K. Also, this guy’s delivery is hilarious.
  17. My understanding is that it outputs your recording frame rate as a 1080p image. So if your filming 4K60p you can only record at 1080/60p from the hdmi. That said, I don’t know if it outputs 120p if you’re filming in that mode.
  18. I’m sticking to 400 and 3200 and using nds to adjust for my setting - so far, it seems to be working out well. And when you have Sigmas 18-35, it’s plenty heavy enough to stay stable when handheld. glad you got the camera and are able to put things behind and not look at it through sour eyes. Looking forward to your review.
  19. - Sorry for double post - Is there any news of a Ronin S update for focusing the P4K with the follow focus?
  20. I might be wrong, but I think the LS300 does the same, if you're set to record in 4k you can't playback HD files. if it's not that camera, I'm not sure which one it is, but I've definitely encountered this in the last year and it scared the ish out of me.
  21. I’ve not noticed, but maybe you need to be set to record 120 in order to play 120?
  22. I have a 35mm Stereo camera in my bag at all times. Once you get used to how to use it, it's fun to use and the results are really something else. The advantage is you can print 3d photos into a book, either as a stereo image that you look at through glasses, or you can look at them as a monoscopic image that looks super nice due to the organic film. The reason I say once you get used to it, is because the focus is on the side, you turn it with your right forefinger and the shutter is on the top, but you press it with your left finger. Aperture is adjusted by twisting either lens, and shutter speed and shutter cocker are on the middle lens. Then there's 2 viewfinders, one for framing (you look out the middle lens) and the other is the rangefinder. Strangely, these are at the back, on the bottom of the camera, so the hotshot is up by your hairline while you're taking a photo. You can see the rangefinder windows on the bottom corners of this pic: The serial number on my model suggests it was made in 1952 - 3D photography is nothing new. As for mirrorless - any MFT camera can use this - but I don't imagine the results to be that great. Fun to play with for sure though.
  23. Still says out of stock on this and LensRegain for me.
  24. No, I meant I had surpassed 45 minutes record time and still had 2 lights on the battery. It continued to run for another 35 minutes.
