No signs Sony will close its system. Sony can close its system. I remember when I bought the m1 MacBook at launch and I couldn’t use google drive for almost a year. It is infuriating and so I get a6700 users who expected a seamless transition. many views can but simultaneously true and not be undermining each.

A6700 seems to be a more viable solution for most hybrid. Not sure what’s the the $800 premium. Slightly better lowlight?

I shared info: a review on YT notes 10-bit 420 didn’t overheat but 422 did. I then noted a few comments that said you wouldn’t notice a difference between 10-but 422 or 420 outside of green screen and keying. You then ad hominem made comments that were unhelpful and inaccurate. I just was curious if anyone knew of a video that compares 10-but 422/420. That’s all.

I believe that’s 8-but 420 not 10 but 420?

I mean in all seriousness I shared that an a6700 user found 10-but 420 to not overheat. I’d that is true that could be great for those interested. My annual obsession of camera bodies is irrelevant and is as hominem. if you fell 422 is noticeably better than 420 I am merely asking for video evidence. I’m curious. 420 could be a good solution. Just engage the content?

Let me rephrase - I’ve yet to find a video demonstrating the difference so I don’t know. You’ve made a statement in confidence and was hoping you could educate me with an example.

YT - Film Alliance channel noted in latest video that to avoid overheating to early to switch codec to 4:2:0 10-bit. Was able to record over 1.5 hours in 24p and 37-40 at 60p. He argues that you work really notice a difference to 4:2:2 for most.

Agreed. Whatever the part of the brain is that makes us ruminate on things we’re interested in is a helluva piece of biology. When I’m bored i gravitate toward this as im highly curious about the a7C II. As a non-pro im happy with my iPhone and Ricoh griiix for travel and family. But I’d like to have a second higher end kit to shoot my athletes running (video and photo) make educational documentaries and travel vids that have a “cinematic” look. Internal LUTs are a big selling point to me as well as compact, great AF, and doesn’t easily overheat in my use cases. Im done with Fuji till AF is as good as Panasonic or better. Panasonics s5ii fits the bill but the system bill may deter me from using it so that leaves the r7/8, a6700/fx30, a7cII. Once released, I’ll be able to figure out if im going to have a higher end kit comprising 1 hybrid camera or a kit comprised of fx30 for video and a used a7C or a6600 for action photo and travel. Being an over thinker and ruminator I feel I’m in some good company here!

Sadly I agree. If it could record 1 hour plus in any environment then it’s not reliable
