  1. Nope. For Photography a swivel screen isn’t aus useful as a tilt. A Tilt acts as a tunnel viewfinder and that is freakingly useful. Video is differently. But as I’m not blogging I’m happy with the S1! B
  2. Well well.... this getting really confusing... I’m planning to exchange my P3pro with an M2 after Xmas ( no need now and waiting for the price drop) i really haven’t found a good overview of zoom vs pro based on 24/28 vs 48/42mm ungreaded/ graded.. and Photo 12mp vs 20mp vs 48mp stich and so on... B https://youtu.be/ApObdI3jyf0 https://youtu.be/GpweQVMuXbQ
  3. Wow. Sigma was what I hopped for. Not so much for their art lenses but for the 300mm+ stuff as this isn’t something that Leica is into. Prices for used SL just increased.. damn! B
  4. https://www.43rumors.com/ft3-panasonic-might-use-the-leica-sl-mount-and-not-uhs-ii/ FT5..... SL Mount für die FF Panasonic..... hmmm... das könnte sehr interessant werden. Die SL ist für mich der Beste Body!! B
  5. https://www.43rumors.com/ft5-panasonic-ff-camera-has-more-than-42mp-and-is-designed-for-both-stills-and-video-users/ hmmm .......... more than 42 MP ... B
  6. Well here we go... https://www.43rumors.com/ft3-seems-like-olympus-plays-no-role-in-the-new-panasonic-ff-system-while-leica-might-be-partner-of-it/#disqus_thread personally i don’t think it’s the Leica L mount but there could be an adapter for Panasonic. The flange distance from the Leica is larger than usual. however the mount question is an interesting one anyway..... lots to speculate... I think they will just have two lenses to start with. One Prime and a 24-70 f2.8 B
  7. To sum up this what we know so far (FT5): Panasonic will announce a new Full Frame Mirrorless system camera on September 25 Panasonic will only show a prototype with non finalized specs The new camera will go on market by March 2019 Panasonic has designed this new sensor The camera will have way more than 30 Megapixels The camera has excellent video quality These are the unconfirmed rumors (FT2….may be right or may be wrong): The camera will take current MFT lenses via adapter Costs around $3,000 Has no on sensor stabilization 2 slot card 4K with no crop in FF and 10 bit 4:2:2 weather sealed https://www.43rumors.com/ft5-the-new-panasonic-ff-has-way-more-than-30-megapixels/ B
  8. I can imagine that if there is possibility for RAW it would be very likely a paid update like the Log Firmware, just way pricier. B
  9. It depends. If you rig then IBIS isn’t such a big deal. But if you’re alone and especially traveling etc. it’s a big advantage ...... B
  10. Well, I think the thing with IBIS is overheating / the heatsink. Just look at the GH5 with the tiny m4/3 Sensor and the required body thickness. Compared to the G9. if that and we would expect it to be a GH5 spec FF I would imagine we are talking Nikon D5 mirrorless style body. B
  11. Oh well despite the 28-70 F2 this isn’t something to look forward. And this means the path is free for Panasonic‘s Fullframe PDAF GH5 ? B
  12. For me this is the Highlight of NAB together with the FCPX upgrade. yes,the new BM seems to be a steal, but it’s only targeting the GH5s crowd, not the GH5 users like me who are after Hybrids and run and gun. Anyway. The new Ninja V is really something and probably a big hint that RAW is coming, most likely with the A7S MKIII. And hopefully Panasonic follows suit. and then the upcoming Ronin S ... oh yes ? B
  13. Hmm.... how did the BBC change something with Sony’s color???? didnt get that point....... B
  14. The best optical standard zoom I've used so far is the Olympus Zuiko Top Pro 4/3 14-35mm F2.0 Second would be the 24-90 F2.8-4.0 Leica Vario for the SL. B

    DJI SPARK

Looks like a Drone for the selfie generation. B
  16. I hav but only for stills ( not much time for videos lately). It's a great lens. About the same as the 42.5. Size and weight a perfect match for the GH5. I really love the Aperture ring. The price is okish, like the 42.5 still on the high side. One of my m4/3 recommended lenses. B
  17. Exactly my point. The size advantage comes withe zooms and especially the long end. Love the D5 with an 600mm F4. Amazing IQ and System but the size and weight well... Therefore I'm in the camp: m4/3(4/3) for zooms and long stuff and 35mm for Primes and DOF. B
  18. I'm a long time 4/3 User since the E1. I know all the 4/3 TopPro and Pro lenses and also used them incl the brilliant 150 f2, 90-250 f2.8 and 300mm 2.8 ( and they render better then anything on m4/3). The most used lens was always the 12-60 Zuiko Pro. Used also the brilliant 14-35 F2 TopPro Zuiko. Still optically the best 4/3 m4/3 Standard Zoom. At one time a was even under NDA with Olympus.... Now for m4/3 I have personally only a few lenses, namely Panaleica 12-60 f2.8-4 Panasonic 14-140 3.5-5.6 (for sale) Olympus 12-40 f2.8 ( for sale) Olympus 300mm f4 I have access to most m4/3 lenses. So used the 40-150 f2.8, 7-14 f2.8, 12mm 1.4, 25mm 1.2, 42.5 1.2 & 75 1.8 etc.. Am I interested in any other lens to own? Well there are a few that may end up in my bag... 8-19 Panaleica 12mm Panaleica 42.5 Panaleica Will I keep the 300m f4? For now yes, but it depends what long lenses are to come based on the rumors. Would love to get the amzing TopPro rendering back. Do I care about the weight? Nope. B
  19. Same here. I have a Leica M as my main camera. So m4/3 for me is and always was about zooms and the long Tele end. Therefore the 12-60 was a nobrainer for me. Same for the 300mm. might think about the Panaleica 8-19 and a Prime for Video B
  20. The 300mm heavyweight... well I don't give a damn. Easily walkable for long walks (15-20km). Have it dangling over the shoulder most of the time. Just image you carry a 600mm full frame one and the weight is not an issue anymore B
  21. Are those lenses you're looking for for stills and video or Video only? The 12-60 is an amazing lens. Yes you loose on f stop, but you gain on focus speed and versatility. A perfect daytime travel lens. If you need f stop I think you will not be happy with f2.8 as this is not enough in reality.... especially during the blue hour and later. My favorite m4/3 lenses. Panaleica 12-60 f2.8.4 Panaleica 8-19 f2.8-4 ( not available yet but on paper it's superb) Panaleica 50-200 f2.8-4 ( not available yet but I loved the original Olympus 4/3 one) Panaleica 12 f1.4 Panaleica 42.5 f1.2 Olympus 25 1.2 Olympus 75 f1.8 Olympus 300 f4 (amazing wide open!) Sadly the Panaleica 100-400 is to soft at the important long end. I would love to see a m4/3 of the 4/3 150mm F2 (on of my favorite lenses of all time. Just brilliant). And if possible please do something like a 200-400mm f4. Don't care for weight and size, but please do Panasonic / Olympus! B
  22. The EM1 MKII is better for sure, but the GH5 narrowed that gap by a large chunk so that from an overall perspective you're better off with the GH5. And I've been a longtime Olympus user ( since the E1) B
  23. Well it depends really... I've watched hundreds of YouTube videos but most of them aren't good apart from the likes of Neumannfilms or setup videos. I have the GH5 and I think it's the best m4/3 and one of the best hybrids. Is it great a blogging? Probably not as AF is the most important part ( and not IQ). But if you like more the documentary style it's amazing. Versatile, small, lots of functions and feature, great IQ and excellent handling. Also in stills it's a great camera. I used the GH4 before and it sucked in stills due to the horrible AF. Now the GH5 is a relief, nearly as good as the EM1 MKII and with the 300mm F4 you're now able to successful catch birds in flight. Also the 6k Photo mode is very useful. And one of the most underrated points of the GH5 is the heavily improved image quality and colors. So, I really like the GH5 - it's a massive improvement from the GH4 in stills and movie. B
  24. Well, I know with Adobe its a sensitive Topic but what about..... Final Cut Pro X (and Color Finale)? (ok haven't done 10Bit edits so far with my GH5) B
