  3. Official specs apparently. https://www.mirrorlessrumors.com/ Equipped with back-illuminated “X-Trans CMOS 4” sensor with newly developed effective pixel number of approximately 26.1 million pixels (Low pass filter less) High-speed image processing engine “X-Processor 4” By increasing the number of phase difference pixels to about 4 times the current ratio, the image plane phase difference AF area is expanded to the entire screen area (about 100%) Extended the low illuminance limit of phase difference AF from conventional -1 EV to -3 EV 4K / 60P 4: 2: 0 Compatible with 10-bit SD card recording in the camera. 4K / 60P 4: 2: 2 Also supports 10bit HDMI output “Sports finder mode” function is newly installed. Blackout-free high-speed continuous shooting at the maximum speed of 30 frames per second is possible within a frame equivalent to 16.6 million pixels (1.25 times crop) Newly equipped “pre-shooting” function that starts shooting from the time when the shutter button is pressed halfway and records the shot image by pressing the shutter button all the way “Monochrome adjustment” function is newly added to “Film simulation” “Color Chrome Effect” function is first installed as “X series” USB Type adopts Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen 1) standard Standard ISO: 160 to 12800 (extended ISO: 80/100/125/25600/51200) Continuous: About 11 frames / sec (mechanical shutter), about 30 frames / sec (electronic shutter, 1.25 times crop) EVF: 0.5 type organic EL finder Approx. 3.69 million dots 0.75 times Rear liquid crystal: 3.0 type approximately 1.04 million dots 3 way tilt type touch panel liquid crystal Film simulation: 16 modes (including ETERNA) Wi-Fi · Bluetooth 4.2 installed Battery: NP-W126S Number of storable pictures: approx. 390 pictures (in normal mode) Size: 132.5 × 92.8 × 58.8 mm Weight: 539 g (including battery and SD memory card), 489 g (body only) Color: Black / Silver Reservation start date: September 6, 2018 Scheduled to correspond to movie shooting with hybrid log gamma method and “Simultaneous film simulation / F-Log simultaneous output” by firmware update through 2018
  4. Another screen grab. Highlights, midtones and shadows corrected fcpx
  5. A before and after screen grabs of a test HLG3 clip overexposed in camera by +1.7 stops Original clip: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mmpb9iux6s713ac/C0002.MP4?dl=0
  6. I had the x-t2 and it also exhibited the purple grid artifacts but after I sent it in the sensor was replaced and I never had the issue again. I read many similar reports online of other early models having sensor changes when sent in for repairs. I suspect a quiet fix/redesign was implemented when the issue was brought to light
  7. Tested the 16mm 1.4 and it's the same too. Speed doesn't affect the distance. Will check the 56mm when it arrives today
  8. 120fps 1080p confirmed. http://www.canonrumors.com/full-specifications-images-of-eos-5d-mark-iv/
  9. 4K Auto focus demo http://videopress.com/v/pA7H5WoU http://videopress.com/v/xYwOUfSU
  10. I bought the Lexar 256gb CFast X 3400 from the seller on EBay. I used it mainly for video on my 1dxii but then this week gone, while shooting a graduation, the card failed. It would not load up or reformat in camera or in computer. I called Lexar who said they would replace it with the newer model x3500 which is recommended for the 1dxii. I'd suggest only using the x3400 Lexar cards for video on the 1dxii or better still just get the x3500 and have peace of mind.
  11. @Andrew Reid. Hi Andrew, If you're in London and would like to use my 1DXII to compare the two cameras I'd be willing to let you use it for take on the the two
  12. The test seem to confirm what the chart i previously posted suggests; that the 1DC has a slightly better DR at higher iso with the appearance of less colour noise due to more contrast in the 1DXII. In the lower iso range where the 1DXii has more dynamic range, theoretically, shooting cinestyle -1EV with HTP and bringing up shadows in post would give you about the same DR as 1DC C-Log (1/3 - 1/2 stop less). If you get another chance @Luke Mason i'd be very interested to see if this is in fact the case
  13. http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1421137 "Weaker" in the sense that the new sensor is ADC design, and having less noise in the shadows. Anyway, until we see some direct comparisons and see some footage that hasn't been sharpened either in camera or post we won't really know for sure. Numbers are in some cases meaningless.
  14. The Canon 1DC may well have better dynamic range in clog but I believe the advantage may only be a stop at best with the 1DXii already having a 1 1/2-2 stop dynamic range advantage at base iso, and a further 1 stop gain shooting in cinestyle -1 ev htp, which adds up to around 3 stops. This compares favourably to the 1DC and its 2-3 stop gain using canon log from a weaker sensor. What I'd really like to see is a direct comparison.
  15. A quick grab from 1DXii Shot Neutral PS, Sharpening 0, Contrast -4, Saturation -2, Color Tone 0. 3200K 25P 4K Quick Grade:
  16. https://***URL not allowed***/sigma-50mm-worth-the-hype/ " the lens breaths with focus, and the short focus throw might not be ideal for video. However there is a feature accessible via the USB dock to extend the focus throw which could be interesting (although due to the physical focal distance window I’m not sure how wide this adjustment can be)." Trying to find the link about which lenses were compatible. Will update when I do
  17. It won't give the option to do high frame rates on CF in any of the menus
  18. I have managed to get almost 30 seconds on my 64gb Komputerbay x1000
  19. All the latest art lenses have the ability to adjust focus throw distance via sigma dock and software. Only the 35 Art is exempt. I've been debating whether to get this lens or the Tamron 15-30mm 2.8. It's a toss up between image stabilisation or wide apeture on the 1dxii for 4K video
