Well, by my count that's 2 Panasonic primes but I see what you mean  Nice range you have now! Looking forward to seeing videos from especially the 25mm and 12mm!.

Sorry I haven't had the time to do any test for you guys. I've been away for work the past 2 weeks.
@jase I did a quick test with the touch AF in manual mode (that's what you meant right?) and it hunts a lot. Manual focus is better but when I'm focussing on something close and then something 1.5 m away it's easy to hit focus just to turn the focus ring to much and get out of focus again. I guess that's what you're used to with photo lenses anyway. I find it somewhat easier to focus with the 12 as it's bigger, the 15mm is so tiny. Note that I performed the tests at f/1.4. Did that make any sense to you?
One thing I would like to mention is that I think 12mm is a much more difficult focal length than 15mm, but I guess that also depends on what you're gonna do with it. I needed a wide and bright lens for shoothing indoors so I bought this at 20% off at black friday.
@jonpais congrats on new lens. I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it!
This video is shot with the PL 15mm until 3.48 and then the PL 12mm for the rest of it. Don't remember the aperture but I think it was around 2.0. It's shot on a GH3 in 1080 50p so not sure how helpful it is but at least you can see that the two lenses match up pretty good. They are color corrected and graded btw. The PL12 has a slightly cooler signature and along with the PL42,5 it has the best color and rendering of the Panasonic lenses I have used, with the 15mm coming in not far behind.
Unfortunately that's all I have for now but I'll see if I can make a quick comparison with the 12-35mm next week.

I like the Pana much more. Better focus ring, even when the Oly is in manual mode and the color has something special. Really looking forward to my next project with that lens.

Great video Jase! Happy to hear you like the 15mm. I always though it would be a great option for what you do. If I could just choose one lens for a trip it would be the 15mm hands down. Didn't think you would get the Panny since you got the Oly 17mm though. How to they compare?

Here is my first 4K-based adventure with the GX80. I am suprised I didnt really miss the slow-mo at all. Although rendering takes ages on my Macbook Pro 2011 (3min video took 3:45h for rendering!), editing with proxy files works without any hickup. I am amazed by the quality and I think I will continue using 4K from now on. Lenses used: Sigma 18-35, but mostly the Panasonic 20mm. I already sold the Speedbooster XL and the Sigma, it is just too huge and even with the 4K crop one sees the vignette when the stabilization kicks in.

The implementation of 10bit is the major benefit as compared to 8bit.
The codec, the processing, the data rate and sensor all play a factor - 10bit is not going to work at its full potential if these other factors are left behind.
The FS7 is a great example of well implemented 10bit. Absolutely superior to the FS5 in 10bit internal.
That said, with most watching video on smart devices - the "final" image quality of 10bit doesn't offer a huge, life-changing leap.
I'm caring much less about specs and focusing on improving the content in the frame.
Understanding light and composition is far more powerful in improving image quality. We're at that time now. The tools are awesome. Beyond enough.

Well the issue for Panasonic could be and is what they spent on R&D, manufacture and marketing of this product...for a publication like C5D to come along, and label what to me personally is a huge feature in this camera (Vlog) as "unusable) WTF!...motivated possibly as "click bate" as some members have pointed out...maybe that's a part of C5D's business model...but you cannot make your business model dependent, on possibly slandering an extremely anticipated product!...of course Panny lent them the camera????...but still

Well in my mind that would completely reasonable on Panasonic's part to go after them legally...to publish something as a review and then call a major feature "unusable" in a pre-production camera with, what many have concluded, were flawed tests, certainly would seem to get to the realm of legal liability!...for whatever their motivation was...I think in reality, C5D has hurt themselves more than Panasonic...GH users wait a long time for the next releases of the cameras...for perhaps the sole reason that they know in the next incarnation they get a lot...in a bulletproof platform to boot....not difficult to see from this thread who do and don't like the GH5...becomes obvious rather quickly...even if the "interest" in the camera is initially shown, the drop away rate at any perceived "flaw" in the camera, regardless of operator ignorance or error is instantaneous...for those who actually work with the GH cameras, this may just the most anticipated I can remember for a while....

Perspective is such a curious thing....give me the same operators that make the FS700 sing for you on a rigged GH5, and to my eye and taste, the GH5 will blow it away...I intend to use it along with a Varicam LT, and I would NEVER consider the FS700 as Bcam to the Varicam...oh well...this way we're all happy with our choices
And for those that think these cameras look like "video"...which of corse they are....below is the trailer for a feature shot on the GH2...for anybody who's never seen it...this is what you can do with a GH camera
Off topic I know...but possibly relevant to those actually interested in the GH5 for narrative work.

The focus is off on a lot of shots but the video does show that internal V-Log is very usable indeed.
Thanks for this. Google translate is funny:
    I'm using that one!

And that Fuji video looks great! but since the OP wanted a wide angle 50mm is a bit narrow.
For stills? The PL is better. For video I always use manual focus.

I haven't used the 14mm so can't really comment on that. The 15mm is by far my favorite lens of the small native lenses in the system, especially for people and street photography. 12mm is too wide and 20/25mm is to narrow in my opinion.

"in my post for a hotshoe grip I remebered you showing a picture of the GX80 with the Summilux 12mm - since I am a bit curious about this lens, how is your experience with it in general? What about manual focussing, does the speed of turning the ring influences how fast the focus is changed? How goos can you do focuspulls with it? How smooth is Touch AF when you first focus on something far away and then something nearby - is it somehow seamless?"
I bought the 12mm on black friday since it was 20% off. I wouldn't have bought it for full price but now I can sell it without a big loss if I want to.
I usually shoot on a tripod and set focus before filming, so my style is very different from yours but I will try to answer your questions.
The build is great and the image is great. I compared the lens to my 12-35mm with both set to 12mm f/2.8 and I didn't expect it to be a big difference... Although the Leica was a noticeably sharper, especially in the corners the color is what makes this lens special. The image from the Leica is beautiful with accurate reds, while the Panny lens produced an image with to much yellow. I used the same settings and WB on both and used LED's to make sure everything was equal. The Leica is also a lot wider. I will have to do more test to confirm, but the findings from my first comparison is the same that is reported with the Nocticron, probably the two best lenses for skin tones in system.
I don't do much focus pulls but Nocticron and Summilux are the best manual focus lenses I have used for m43, besides mf lenses like Veydra and SLR Magic.
I'm very busy the next few days, but I will see if can make to time to do some more comparisons and testing the manual focus.

The 25 1.4 is absolutely my favourite lens for video. It has a special character and warmth. I have never noticed AF noise with the lens. With the IBIS on newer bodies it will be even better as the lack of stabilisation was the only thing making it more difficult to use with the GH4.
Super wide I just use the Rokinon 7.5 fisheye and defish to 1080.

Fredrik Lyhne reacted to mercer in Panasonic G85 review - is there any need to get an Olympus E-M1 Mark II for video?
I know there's plenty of GX85 footage floating around, but here are a couple videos I shot handheld a while back...
This was shot with a Minolta 28mm and a Cosmicar 25mm TV lens. I colored it with FilmConvert but it ended up a little more saturated than I had planned...
And here is another one I shot using the Monochrome L setting. I used a Rokinon 12mm cine lens.

Since there's no comparisons yet it's we just have to guess, but the Oly 25mm pro is probably sharper egde to egde since the Oly 25mm f/1.8 is. It's probably a little sharper in the center as well, but not by much. Other than that the Pana Leica lenses have a nicer color rendering than Olympus lenses IMO, but I haven't used any of the pro lenses.
@Michael Ma Have you seen this review by Oly ambassodor Neil Buchant? http://buchangrant.format.com/Blog/the Great looking images! but we don't know how much post processing has been done.
I like the PL 25mm a lot since I just want one 25mm for both photo and video, but as @jonpais mentioned Voigtlander might be a better option for video. At laest Shane Hurlbut agrees: http://www.thehurlblog.com/cinematography-micro-43-lenses/ SLR Magic and Veydra are also great.
It's a little different than Olympus Neil's photos but I think some of the images in this review look really good! http://toolsandtoys.net/reviews/the-panasonic-leica-dg-summilux-25mm-f1-4-lens/
