What i decided is to stay away from red mx since its dam big to handle but to get BMCC 2.5k with speedboster that ialredy have with my yashica ml prime lenses 2.8 this will give me close to s35mm plus 2.5k resolution. I believe this to be good choice for me. Thanks again much apriciated

I am looking for new camera that shoots RAW for personal projects and some vfx work all personal projects until i can start looking for clients with the work that i have. I was looking at used red mx cameras but downside is its heavy and old and not support but still shoots great 4k images my fear is the size plus renting PL lenses all round 4-5k for full package. I was also looking at BMCC 2.5k i can get ready to shoot for less then 2k plus full resolve. Iam leaning toward BMPCC 2.5k i have Contax Yashica Lens to Micro Four Thirds Speed Booster do i get MFT or EF for my speedboster to work on 2.5 black magic and when adding speedboster what would be the crop size? how close to super 35. I mean do i need to have pro camera like red or do i have to shoot 4k at all to get pro looking images is 2.5 enough and is BMCC still good camera My budget is around 4k Canadian what would you guys do. I bought and sold few items via western union hate pay pal and their fees but for me to buy and sell i reassure seller its me and it will be send by chatting on Skype so they can see my face showing the sold item, they can see my drivers license phone (no number no address) and and my city so if i scam them they have my full name and city i live in and same thing when i buy i will not send money till we skype i see passport or drivers license with current electric bill or mail which fake are not easy to provide at face to face skype at that moment never head a problem. And i record entire skype info video ect just in case never head any problems. And i send over 2k via western union and sold some expensive items

Some questions 1 Is camera still supported by BM? 2 It comes in PL and EF mount can other adapters be used like CY mount on EF and PL. 3 you can get ursa mini 4k for same price of price Production Camera 4K EF what am missing here just update and support of ursa mini. Here is the thing can you grade on consumer monitor sure you can will it be accurate sure it will not. There is no cheap pro way to color grade. But to get really close here is my setup. Davinci + decklink mini to dell u2410 via HDMI with i1pro probe then i use free DisplayCAL to calibrate resolve viewer in resolve while using my monitor internal factory settings and it gets me dam close to accuracy. DisplayCAL i create 3d lut that is stored in to resolve viewer via software is this the right way not really but it gets me there. This is my setup but any good monitor like dell u2410 and up like eizo nec calibrated will give you nice starter accuracy

Tera 5K with soeedbooster i know what speedbooster does but what is the purpose on terra and did you purchase basic kit? and how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking Hi guys thanks for all the info and posts. Did some hard thinking and decide not to go with MX because of weight and age. But decided to jump in to terra 5k just the options alone and anamorphic 4:3 slow mo in 4k at 100 and 200 at 2k is dam tempting plus i hear they have dam good support and regular update. I will just wait till Jan next year not in a hurry and see all the tests and reviews when it comes out. Plus red camera price should go down a bit when terra comes out.

yeah scarlet is bare bone but small factor is nice, but mx comes fully loaded and with lens. And i am not sure is scarlet can shoot 120fps
