  1. Home user video - very smooth/fast zoom The jello is a bit freaky :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xk2zhvcu10c
  2. Another vid from a review   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMIO3FTI2bI   hand held http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsczYBnK0x0
  3. Ugh I should have sold my RX100 when I had the chance to a few weeks back, now it will be quite devalued... I like the addition of 24-25p, but they could have added that to the RX100 as a firmware update! So does the mk2 get both 50-60p as well?
  4. Vegas should do it automaticly, providing you set the options for it properly in project properties wondow, and right clicking on the video file in the time line and see the settings there
  5. Looks like they got rid of the green cast on the G6?!
  6. Hmm very tempted Only thing keeping me with the RX100 is the small size and 1080p60 If I could get that with better quality in the same package, then I no longer need both a RX100 and my GH2... :) Plus I get 24p, 30p and 60p on one cam... Plus shooting at 60p during a sunny day, helps keep the aperture open a lot more --- question does the G6 mic compare to the GH2's? GH2 has a nice internal mic which I do rely on a fair bit
  7. Pity the lens is more expensive than the camera!
  8. Since this sits between the lens and sensor, won't this effect how the lens focuses onto the sensor...?
  9. Posting relevant info GH3 has about 9+ stops of dynamic range it seems... But very good rolling shutter specs as per the link http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?303559-Measuring-rolling-shutter-put-a-number-on-this-issue!&p=1986306886&viewfull=1#post1986306886

    C mount lenses

Plenty of cheap, and new CCTV c mount lense on Ebay, well under $100
  12. To the OP may I suggest the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema camera B)
  13. Looks like the PCC will be my next camera, instead of Nikon D5200 or GH3 :)   Nice upgrade from the GH2, but will keep my RX100 - 2 tiny cams in the bag!! yes
  14. I find using a pistol grip with these cameras helps a lot, and pressing your face against the viewfinder   I got this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Authentic-P-C-Camera-DSLR-pistol-grip-handle-FREE-D-Ring-/130743812351

    d5200 hack

A manual lens would allow that
  16. Here is a D5200 vs GH3 comparo   Nikon D5200 - 18-55 VR Kit, Portrait, sharpness +2, contrast -5, WB cloudy Panasonic GH3 - 12-35 Kit (-4-3-0-2) WB cloudy   not seeing a big difference in resolution like the other video GH3 has a bit more moire   https://vimeo.com/61413236
  17.   The Focal SM9 sounds different from the usual Focals - very smooth, neutral, clinical and flat. Extremely fast transient responce and full frequency responce range. They go deeper than the Opals and higher. Well it does cost 2x more.... Headphone style bass due to no ports, just a passive radiator on the top And a switchable sealed 2 way mode, for checking what things sound like on small "home" systems   Opals sound more exciting and vibey, more 3D and wider, but less accurate, hence why I currently have both   Both are good "movie" watching speakers though - deep subsonic bass booms come through and wide soaring strings   Getting a bit off topic now    RX100 "Scanner Darkly" photo effect B) If only it could be applied to video....!
  18. The D7100 footage looks a little more overexposed       They sound different enough, so I decided to keep both sets :)
  19. ?   http://***URL removed***/news/2013/04/01/teton-gravity-research-posts-video-shot-with-4k-c520-gyro-stabilized-system
  20. Well I don't think the GH2 is anything special with DR, even when hacked.   RX100 is better, even if it's not actually that great itself   GH2 top - RX100 bottom
