  1. I think it depends on type of benchmark - even if you test it on PC: Kingston Mobilelite G4 USB3 UHSII reader Sandisk 64GB UHS-I Extrem PRO 95M/s R/W USBDeview - 42MBs / 92MBs SpeedOut v 0.5 - 85MBs / 88MBs USB Flash Benchmark - max. 91MBs / 92Mbs BTW - I have received my cheap Lexar 2000x 64GB UHSII ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/181946939074?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ) . It is little bit suspicious as Lexar brand is taped up by some Chinese holografic signs. But I have test it and seems to be OK. NX1 - average around 66MBs / 88 MBs USBDeview - 67MBs / 220MBs SpeedOut v 0.5 - around 220MBs / around 220MBs (here is limit USB reader) USB Flash Benchmark (it depends on file size) - max. 220MBs / 220Mbs (here is limit USB reader) I simply do not trust NX1 benchmark - camera definitely writes faster according what I have already tested with burst shots.
  2. OK, but according this logic (at least) all first four cards should achieve same speeds in the dev benchmark - if camera would be the limit factor. Because they are definitely faster than shows this dev test. My Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s can achieve almost 92 MB/s write speed with best card reader. Going to Lexar 2000x still means benefit of another 15 MB/s (53MBs vs 68MBs in dev test). Why there is difference in speed if cards are much faster than camera can use?
  3. Patience... hopefully just one week of waiting :-)
  4. - pause footage during playback -> capture frame using Fn button. Such a jpg has ISO and shutter speed in EXIF
  5. I was curious if in-camera playback will work with high bitrate hacked video. Andrew mentioned in old article ( http://www.eoshd.com/2014/04/nikon-d800-hacked-50mbits-high-bitrate-recording-option/ ) that D800 was not able to playback its own hacked videos. So I have put Vasile's high bitrate hacked clip to SD card and try to play it in my NX1 ............. and it works without any issues! So now I am curious how high can we go with bitrate to keep playback working :-) BTW - ISO in his clip jumps from 400 (brightest parts) to 1250.
  6. I have tested my Sandisk Extreme Pro 95MB/s UHS-I 64GB and it has only 53,605 KB/s write speed and read 69,420 KB/s (I have tried it 3x times, card was formatted... and results were similar) I think it not normal and it should be faster...
  7. Unfortunately no significant improvement with 50-200. But thank you for let us know
  8. Where exactly it is in Dev menu? Maybe it could help someone (me:-)) with problematic OIS in 50-200 lens (!). But great info, thank you!
  9. I understand - very useful feature in NX1, I wil ltry it. But check also lucabutera test number 2: "15fps, super fine Jpeg, 6480x4320, 143Mb / S, never full buffer, camera continuos shooting without stopping."
  10. Strange - one test shows that write speed should be 143 MB/s and second "only" 66 MB/s . So what is correct?
  11. Unfortunately it is without original package and card reader, but it is new with lifetime warranty. Still very good price.
  12. I have just ordered this 2000x Lexar card (64GB) - I hope there will be some benefit over Extereme PRO 95MB/s ( maybe in even higher bitrates thanks to Vasile's hack). BTW I think quite good deal for EU based users
  13. Yes, that would be great to push bitrate to max possible level. I am little bit worried that Vasile received "too slow card" message even he has very fast (not fastest) 95MB/s SD card. Hopefully it is becuase he has just UHS-I and not UHS-II card, however his card should be able to handle much more than provides his bitrate hack.
  14. MB (megabytes) and not same as Mb (megabits = usual unit for bitrate). 170MB/s (megabytes per second) are 1360Mb/s (megabits per second)... so it is completely different level of bitrate. Vasile hack provides +100Mb/s ( I do not want to brake his request about "not mention" bitrate :-)) so it is higher than default bitrate but still much lower than 170 MBps/1360 Mbps.
  15. Just wait at least until 6th April :-) But I think the improvement will be significant. I just made few 120fps shots yesterday - those with shallow depth of field are very nice without any macroblocking... but others are where is everything is in focus are quite awful (especially in shadows). 80mbits are clearly not enough and it is most visible in 120 fps mode.
  16. It is interesting that bitrate from hacked NX1 is VERY variable. Is it normal that difference is almost 100%? Or am I using wrong analyzer? In other cameras (A6300, original NX1,...) is bitrate quite stable with difference just few percents...
  17. I am not expert in codec science and I do not believe that HEVC is so efficient - I saw quite heavy macroblocking on my NX1( I believe that h264 would look better in similar situations with similiar bitrate). But I cannot agree that HEVC does not preserve fine details - I could saw every single needle on the tree but then there was heavy macroblocking on the sky - 80Mbit simply could not handle it all. But I am convinced that higher bitrate will solve it. Moreover - it seems that it also brings higher dynamic range. You saw video from hacked NX1 - do you think that H264 would hold so much information in shadows? I would wait on proper test and comparison of hacked NX1... 3 weeks at least :-(
  18. Indeed it is still image from video so it does not show the "noise movement"...Maybe I pushed shadows too much but test it on your side and you will see. I think it is very useable.
  19. YESSS! Incredible! I am also surprise that playback is realtime in full resolution in Premiere (it was choppy but I had to move the file to SSD, then it was fine). (i7 3,2Ghz, SSD, Nvidia GTX960 with h265 support). I think it is not against Vasile's rules - here are just 2 images - default and graded. The shadows noise is very usable - my opinion: it is not fine noise, but look at that - default was completely black in shadows!
  20. ...and I can see that we have to wait until beginning of April (Vasile will come back on 6th April). 3 weeks...
  21. My dreams come true :-D Let's hope that will work on NX1 too (unlike silent shutter).
  22. Maybe try to check also DISABLE POWER SAVE in DEV menu (?)
  23. I am heading there in first week in May - I hope I will create some nature video there with my NX1 (maybe some night timelapses in the mountains).. you are pretty lucky guy that you can live there, it is wonderful place.
  24. Very nice! BTW - Is it Madeira?
  25. That would be great! But everyone here would probably appreciate if you would have more than 100 years :-D (say 150Mbps would be nice). But I understand, that was just an example....
