No idea but there, someone hints this is a known issue with raw on Blackmagic cameras...
-
In that thread above-posted someone claims cDNG is the worst sample when some other notices that's make little sense from lossless... ProRes is reported as identical.
-
LOL Hadn't checked... Funny : D My bad, I should have paid attention to that date. Only in Internet days we have April Fools in late June! : -D

I believe this will depend on our grading too. As far I've seen posted cDNG is even worse with Blackmagic cameras but should it be going lossless? ProRes 422 HQ should be clean, at least. If not, there's nothing related to codec or RAW implementation. It's surely not good news...

Man, when Odin re-posts anything, it can only be good...! LOL : -)
-
That's new... Really. I've never seen anything like that. It is more about any potential artifacts of aliasing or moiré : ) hardly to be found in motion to be sincere. cDNG is also more detailed and better IQ overall : -)
-
@JordanWright The best camera device for what it is in the right hands ever! (E : -) cDNG is a way better but .braw doesn't visibly diminish it.

Funny, I tried to give a shot on the RAM thing, but WTH in the Portuguese site there's no a single information about it : X

They will have a different name onwards anyway. AF focus puller (E : -)

Aside the new trouble with Trump administration, the first inconvenience is the compatibility with camera2api for use with FiLMiC PRO, Open Camera and GCam apps (all of them 100% working and tested by me on the Redmi Note 7 Global/International version, that is, not that one for sale in India with different camera specs but should work in the same way) to reach up to 200Mbps bitrate between other goodies such as log recording modes, etc. There are some promised workarounds though. No idea if they are fully working anyway. Here's some information on topic: https://magiskroot.net/camera2api-enabler-magisk-module/ https://www.cyanogenmods.org/gcam-settingsfix-google-cameragcam-all-issues/ https://www.right-brothers.net/best-magisk-modules-to-use-in-2019/ Last but not least: https://pt.gearbest.com/blog/new-gear/google-camera-gcam-on-your-smartphone-why-and-how-to-enjoy-it-5795 "First thing to know, Google Camera generally works quite well on Qualcomm Snapdragon and Samsung Exynos processors, if you have a smartphone with a Mediatek or Huawei Kirin processor, it will not work. There are exceptions, however, but stability is unlikely to be achieved."

https://www.eoshd.com/comments/profile/47838-weaoweict/ How this happens? How this account is open since 2018? Doesn't anyone to be approved by you Andrew @Andrew Reid before to start posting? Just wondering... Puzzled with such plague : -(

My T5 1TB got it for EUR 139 from cyberport.de, no tax applies because we have no Boris in our land! : D

I don't find them in that way : ) You're obviously limited on the small size sensor but other than that, it is everything related how your device is noticed by the subject more often than you'd like to. The difference to take the shot or simply not.
-
To workaround that, cam2api is truly revolutionary... GCam, Open Camera and FiLMiC PRO are absolutely new camera devices to our shooting arena.
-
Indeed. I mean, for street photography though. I do a lot... : -)
-
For casual photography, smartphones bring a new world of possibilities. Sometimes the difference between to get the shot or not. More usual than we can think before to put our hands there. Without mention a whole new universe for computational photography... go figure, selfies also help to subject think we're just taking one. Interesting times for shooting (E : -)

I've shot along a P4K and GX85 these last June '19 days... Not even small size factor comes as a notable advantage. Maybe IBIS, only a bit though. You shoot very steady on P4K because of form factor. There's no doubt, it is a breeze and much more friendly to shoot with the Blackmagic. You pick one, you simply don't want to look back. A way more professional too. Menus with endless automatic modes are for sissies : ) Even focus assist is twice or beyond more effective. At times, the difference is to pop up as helpful or not, more often than it should. As simple as that. Distinct worlds. The conclusion is: in a single strictly craft usage perspective, when Blackmagic does it, they do it better. Japanese have a lot to learn with the Aussies, for some reason I have a weakness for the anglo-saxon pragmatism... : -)

We live funny times today! The guy posts a crappy sample of such capture device beast and there's curiosity about some of his past work... LMAO : ) LOL My vote to post of the year! ; ) And to Gerald, the Razzie of the best excuse of 2019 too and we are in June yet! PS -- Just seen this thread has just reached 1 million of views these days! Congrats, you're in the Guiness Book @Andrew Reid I believe Grant Petty will have no excuses next time to not send you a Mark II sample for the upcoming launch... Speaking of devil, I'll forward him this remark via email right now : -D
