1. Unreal. Even with all the bits and pieces this is still incredibly cheap. Goodbye Alexa?
2. If you're only doing cinema stuff I'd skip the kit lenses. the 14-140 has its uses, but I think you'd be better off going with the Samyang Cinema Lenses. The Nokton 25 is amazing, but you could get two of the Samyangs instead, which are still fantastic lenses, and increase your options.
3. I thought the 5D3 looked good out of the box, but sharpened you really see how much better it can look.
4. Fancier FC-270A NOT the 270. Must have an A. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pro-FANCIER-Video-Tripod-Fluid-Pan-Head-FC-270A-w-Dual-Lock-quick-release-plate-/271038874636?pt=US_Tripods&hash=item3f1b2d040c
5. $500 is beyond my budget right now. Besides, I already have a fluid head that I can use, I mostly just wanted the legs. Also that Sachtler is too big for my needs. 85cm folded as opposed to the 45 of the Benro.
6.
This one looks like a winner http://www.ebay.com/...=item45fabd6de4
This is what I went with. If anyone is interested I'll report back with how it is.
7. This one looks like a winner http://www.ebay.com/itm/Benro-A2691TB1-Travel-Angel-Tripod-Kit-A2691-B1-T130-/300559461860?pt=US_Tripods&hash=item45fabd6de4
8. Benro make way too many tripods. It's nearly impossible to find any info on one particular model. :[
9. I already own those legs. They're alright, but they're only 2 stages. I'm after something that folds down to half that length.
10. I'd be using a 701 head with it, but I don't really want to spend another $150 on a leveling base when I'm going overbudget.
11. Who cares about how it looks. It has a shutter button!
12. As in the title, I'm looking for a small tripod that I can carry around all day. Something I can take on the train that won't be clunky and a discreet for shooting in public areas. Fluid head not required, but something that can at least pan and tilt. Would be ideal if it could hold a small slider, GH2 and small head. Budget I'd say, $300 max. thank ye's EDIT: Thoughts? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Benro-C2682TB1-Tripod-Ball-Head-C2682-B1-C2682B1-Support-DSLR-Mount-B-1-T217-/290719534998?pt=US_Tripods&hash=item43b03c0f96
13. "TOP X Y's OF ALL TIME!" It's like I'm really on an internet forum.
14. Just up on CheesyCam, the P&C GearBox. Looks awesome for the price. Buying one right now. $15 shipping to Australia is great as well, presumably because it can be disassembled. http://cheesycam.com...essory-bracket/ !!!
15. I've been shooting with my GH2 for around 5 months now and I still haven't found an effective way to work around the gamma shift on record. It doesn't seem predictable or manageable to me at all. Most of the time the footage it produces is usable, but most of the time isn't good enough. I love my GH2, but I want to start using it for more serious productions. Any advice? how 2 camera plz hlep
16.
= cannot mix files in edit unless you convert them all to the same file type before hand.
I thought I heard somewhere that CS6 could do this.
17. Check out the Fancier 270A. Not the 270. I've used one. Great for the price.
18. You won't find much sub $100. Maybe some old legacy primes, but they won't be versatile. Versatility comes from owning multiple lenses. If you're set on getting something with zoom you'll have to settle for less. IMO look into getting 1 prime for now, and a better one later, Maybe something 35mm+
19. Depends how much you want to spend. I wouldn't recommend the Lumix 14-42 at all though.
20. In Andrew's GH2 guide there is a list of great primes.
21. This reminds me of one of my favourite shorts. If you get past the cartoon intro I promise you won't be disappointed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acrZGc3rfg0&hd=1
22. Don't wait for the GH3. Even after it's released you should wait a while until all the kinks are ironed out.
