This will definitely suck in video mode!
-
Could the GH3 (with the right technology) ever match the same light sensitivity of APS-C sensors?
-
It wouldn't:) I was just saying :)
-
I saw a sample and it doesn't look very video optimized.

Estimated time of arrival, Photokina in September. As with GH2 two years ago.

But will it be announced before this? -
When will the GH3 be released?
-
B was my one of first choices and I must admit it surprised me that it was the GH2!! I thought it was the Arri. Very disappointed with the c300 and fs100.
And for the Canon 7d ... there was no doubt it was G! Worst resolution of them all! -
If only sony would give this resolution to APS-C cams..

Thanks.
Just small point - I like detail not sharpness. Very different things! 8)

True. Now I have to ask why and how did they close down canonfilmmakers ? What did they "do" to EOSHD instead and for what reason? -
Since Sony is apparently playing the same game as Canon for DSRLs they would never give this camera real HD. They have the FS100 and FS700 to protect

Regardless of whether the 1D-X is sharper than the 5D3, I'm saying "Seacrest Out" to Canon. This debacle just further illustrates how insanely greedy Canon has become
1) T4i has moire / aliasing
2) Buy the 5D3 for no moire / aliasing, but still soft image.
3) Don't want soft image? Then shell out 2x more cash for the 1D-X. then you'll get real HD.
I'm sure Canon has engineered the 1D-X with some major fault which will they hope will spur people to then buy a 1D-C, which will lack something major which will spur people to buy the C-500. At that point, you are one broke Canon Fan boy.

I'm sorry but I loved your post I couldn't stop laughing. SOO right ! :) Too bad there's really no real HD alternative for middle level products. Sony, Nikon... all doing the same. -
Anyway this is ANOTHER proof Canon wants "video people" to pay A LOT MORE for a video res they could give on $600 cameras
-
I want more videos not only this!
-
I know but Canon started the all video thing and has been dead for years with no new releases! Is there any sample yet of the new 1DX?
-
I came across a compact camera from Canon called IXUS 115 HS/ELPH 100 HS with a DIGIC4 processor, it can shoot videos at 1080p, the "big thing" is that the resolution is actually close to be real (considering the sensor size and aliasing everywhere :) ). How ridiculous is this? The t3i/t2i/7d with the same processor have a lower resolution than a $150 compact camera from the same company. Definitely sharper.

I would like a bigger sensor to make it compete in the pictures part too! But I know this won't never happen:(
-
title should be : Cinema5D review of Canon 650D confirms no fix for moire, aliasing and resolution
-
The thing is there's no other => APS-C camera in the same price range that does better! Every single company tried to cripple DSRLs. Canon is just doing what everyone else is doing = just nothing.
-
At this point I don't think Canon is to be considered anymore(?). There won't be anything until 3y from now
-
From the first samples you can see no upgrade in video res. Not that someone was expecting any.
-
how about some samples? :D

Wow it is good! Not the best resolution but def the only one that gets closer to the GH2.
I wonder how the D3200 will look..

found the answer myself...it sucks -

He's right, unless that they did something in post that video shows real aliasing!
I'm talking about the 1080p file of course
