SLOG-2 A7S

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm looking at buying a few 4X4 ND filters for shooting in SLOG-2 with the A7S.

Just wondering what peoples experiences were shooting in slog in bright sunny conditions, and

what filters would you recommend buying for these conditions. Looking at these Skier ones I will probably buy 2;

Thanks

Shot my first SLOG2 footage last weekend in bright conditions, and am by no means an expert. I used a Genus Variable ND, this one http://www.amazon.de/Eclipse-variabler-Neutral-Camcorder-Genustech/dp/B00BHD5PYK/ref=sr_1_sc_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1412946686&sr=8-2-spell&keywords=genus+varaible+nd, and I had to put it just below max for it to work. But it did.

Here's the footage

Is the footage straight from the camera?

Looks pretty good, I would definitely look at the "Detail" setting though. Footage looks overly sharpened and from my experience knocking it down a couple of notches looks much better/natural

Peace

** Just read your settings that you did indeed lower the "detail" level. Maybe it was the lens you used? What lens did you use for this project??

Thanks
