Anaconda_ Posted February 8, 2023 Author Share Posted February 8, 2023 I'm pretty sure you can still record in director viewfinder mode, and the image you get is the one you see while shooting (framing wise) But since it's for the Alexa cameras, it'll be faked somewhat. Django Posted February 8, 2023 Share Posted February 8, 2023 Just checked, you can record video in that mode but only in 8-bit. Also don't see the point if its fake open gate. However, this mode might be a test as well for the real thing 😉 Only issue they need to solve in regards to cDNG is the data rate open gate would write to USB. Have read that might be too much.
