    50mm prime?

Hey, I need suggestions which manual 50mm prime lens to pick up. I shoot with an APS-C Canon DSLR and a Panasonic GH3. Right now I have two 50mm lenses, one being the Canon 50mm f/1.8 and the other one being a Rikenon 50mm f/1.7. I also have the MFT Olympus 45mm f/1.8. Now I know that there's a ton of cheap, old 50mm primes but I don't know which one to pick up. The Canon is alright but isn't really useful when shot wide open because of purple fringing and general lack of sharpness. The Rikenon 50mm f/1.7 is a bit better wide open, so I'd just use this one BUT there's not stops between f/1.7 and f/2.8, which is really annoying. So I'm looking for a 50mm lens that is fairly useful wide open, has f-stops inbetween wide open and f/2.8, isn't too expensive and has a nice build quality. A local shop sells the Yashica 50mm f/1.7 for crazy cheap but I've heard mixed things about it. Is the Yashica 50mm f/1.4 better than the f/1.7 version? What about the Super Takumar 50mm f/1.4? How do these compare? And any other option that I should be looking into? Thanks a ton in advance, Moritz
  3. As a result of a slight cash shortage I have decided to sell 2 of my most prized lenses. Yes it hurts ;)   - Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 (SOLD) - Olympus M.Zuiko 12mm f/2.0   [attachment=562:voigt+olympus.jpg]   Both are extremely sought-after prime lenses for the Micro Four Thirds system. The Olympus is arguably the best wide-angle lens available for the GH2 and GH3, and the Voigtländer's reputation as a beautiful video and photography lens is well-deserved.   Both lenses are in perfect working order, with only a few minor cosmetic bumps. The glass is completely free of scratches, internal dust or fungus.   Lenses are on offer seperately or together with a generous discount ;) PM me for pricing & more photographs if you are interested! Or contact me at jack.versen@gmail.com.
  4. Hey guys and fellow GH2 owners.. I'm trying to decide between the Pancake 20mm F1.7 or the Leica 25mm F1.4... I know right, I don't owner either of these two lovely lens.. I may end up getting both in the end, but because have to buy one at a time, I ned to choose between them.. I'm slightly leaning towards the 25mm Leica, because of it's name, the nano lens that 20mm does not have, and F1.4 vs. F1.7... However SO many more people own the 20mm F1.7 and it may be because its cheaper.. at about $356 vs. $500... Any one have some nice photo shots of the 25mm leica and 20mm pancake? Would like to compare them through images.. Also the Panasonic Fisheye is a bit expensive, and the Panasonic 14mm F2.5 Prime pancake looks nice, wish the aperture was bigger.. I would get the Noktor 12mm T1.6 before the 14mm.
