are you purposefully misunderstanding what i say? i meant the external recording to proprietary media, for one, i don't think you can go to any local electronics store and buy the DJI SSD straight off the shelf. and considering the fact that the DJI SSD doesn't come with the product, for two. not at least on the 6k. it's standard on the 8k version though. if you want it after the fact, you have to shell out 169€ for the SSD mount and 749€ for the 1TB PROSSD.

i expose using the native waveform in the Ninja V to see when the original RAW signal gets clipped. the camera display has the "rec709" look in it and the monitor tells me when the ACTUAL signal is clipping.

what's the goal in the conversion though? Pr Pro and Resolve handles them just fine.

this. maybe it's something everyone needs to experience firsthand. i thought that i would buy these vintage or modern cinema lenses with character and take these epic shots with them but just focusing on keeping the camera steady and trying to use focus wheel feels makes me switch to my first party AF lenses. i was recently going through some stuff that i shot and with a simple grade the footage was really filmic lol.

that's true. maybe i'm just a balls-to-the-wall type of guy. if i see me not needing to edit the footage extensively i switch out from NRAW to H265. but it's still kind of a bummer that they had the ProRes RAW internally but patched it out. especially how cheap fast CFxB cards have become, for one DJI SSD's price you could get 2 or even a 4TB model of CFX. and it would be that big of a hassle.

the camera is really attractive for the right person but i just can't but help look at the price of the media for it though. am i misremembering or did they have some kind of adapter that you could put your own M.2 SSD to?

a lot of the content on products made by big channels feel like infomercials. for example, i was interested in the S1 ii and a creator was talking about the 70fps burst mode but failed to mention that the buffer takes 35s to clear and you can't lower the burst fps at all. don't get me started on hardware unboxed, i trust my grandma more than him when it comes to testing and correct results 😁

those photos look amazing to be from a phone, then again a 1" sensor and a competent lens (for a smartphone) will pay off.

when i bought my Z9 i had to upgrade from my 3080 Ti. if anything i was running out of was VRAM. My specs at the time were a 13900, 4100c16 32GB RAM. a good GPU is a must as encoding with NVENC is the best option. Faster and more power efficient, you're not going to draw 160W over an hour for a long video thru your CPU.
