  1. Not that any of this matters, pertaining to the camera. I just thought it was funny, seeing as she obviously does shave. She just hadn't for a few days/week etc.; knowing they were filming this, I would think she would. If that's her thing, then so be it, I think she simply forgot haha.
  2. You would think that chick would at least shave her armpits again for that... lol
  3. I think you are missing the point. I, along with many Canon users are sick of them purposely under providing, through software crippling. If you look at the market segmentation for this price point, it doesn't make any sense in late 2018/early 2019. They flat out admitted to gimping cameras to protect the higher end ones. What is frustrating about the supposed spec sheet on this camera, is that it is far behind in photo and video to the competition. It's not just one or 2 things they left out compared to the competition, its multiple: Severe 4k crop No IBIS No 120p FHD No Log 5FPS burst w/AF & 28 frame buffer vs 10FPS/89 frame buffer Likely omission of 10-bit I really hope that when they announce the camera, some of those things won't be a problem. I could see them having a FF 4k mode, log and 10 bit external as some possible features not listed in the specs pdf. If it doesn't, that won't hurt me much, I have their flagship. It would have been nice however, to have a mirrorless from them that is on par to what else is out there for when I travel.
  4. Oh yeah my bad, the actual direct competition only has exactly double the fps and triple the buffer in raw.
  5. Because its an old camera in a new body and they are banking on people buying new RF mount lenses lol. Then they will release a flagship mirrorless that will cost over $4k in the next 6 months.
  6. It is 5 fps or lower in AI servo. The Sony A7iii which should be a competitor price wise, does 8+ fps with AF up to 89 raw frames. If it is like the 5D IV, which all signs point, it will slow down at 28 raw frames. My point is, it just really seems like Canon is fine with putting out stripped cameras, hold important specs for the flagship. They expect idiots to buy the lackluster offerings and they do. If you only take photos of flowers, then this camera will be perfect, but for many of us it is a huge disappointment. 2 year old camera stuffed into mirrorless body and a big slap in the face to EF owners, when you look at what other companies are doing.
  7. 5 fps or slower depending on conditions, battery etc. I will keep the 16 fps in my 1DX ii.
  8. Even then it can only do 5fps (ai servo) with a tiny buffer. Even less than 5fps if you use dpaf, 3fps supposedly..
  9. I don't know how true this is, but even for using it as a stills only camera. It can only shoot 5fps with a 16 pic max buffer in ai servo. Or 3fps with dpaf (live view). Owned.
  10. I once asked if the AF on the A7iii was as good as canons dpaf on inanimate objects, aka non face tracking & got more hate than I have ever seen online. Turns out it was true, but it was just a question at that point. Funny because I am actually starting to hate canon at this point, but I do hate the religious fanatic attitude (dont you dare question!) with many sony fans. I started with sony, but was never like that.
  11. I didn't see it, but I bet you that 4k is cropped.
  12. An interview earlier this year with a Canon executive stated something along the lines of: We underestimated the demand for a mirrorless FF camera (and 4k). We are developing a mid ranged mirrorless FF camera now. Then we will do a high end mirrorless, when we feel it does everything our pro level DSLR's do and/or better. Something like that, I haven't read it again for months. It obviously is a mirrorless 5D IV like most people called. It even uses the same battery lol. I do fully expect Canon to make a high end mirrorless FF with IBIS, 4k 60, 10 bit, 14+ dynamic range etc. but probably not for another year and not under $5,000. No IBIS, no Full HD 120p, no H.265 option, no 10 bit, cropped Full HD 60p? Just proves that they are either complete morons, or they feel their customer base is. They have a lot of balls. I would go to the new Nikon mirrorless, but I will take a hard pass with all those f/1.8 primes, I need f/1.4 sometimes. Panasonic, you are the last hope with that FF mirrorless on the 25th haha. BTW; I saw canon rumors say the new 50mm f/1.2 is 2lbs vs 1.28lbs on the EF version... SMH
  13. I just really hope they make the shutter lock closed when changing lenses. It seems impossible to change lenses in the field without eventually ruining a bunch of video with sensor dust. Always see it on peoples sony YT videos. That is my biggest concern for mirrorless.
  14. I like your videos, but in general, I seriously cant stand the mouth open youtube thumbnails lol
  15. Read some comments on a very recent video. "So I just called DJI back and asked the question again to see if I was given the same answer. They said the firmware the drone is being shipped with has the limitation of 10 bit in HQ mode but once it is updated 10 bit is unlocked for full FOV as well. Mine is still in the mail so I'm anxious to hear your results." "I updated the firmware on my 2 Pro and it allows me to choose D-Log, HDR, and normal in both frame sizes, full frame and hq."
  16. I don't understand why almost all of their native mirrorless mount lenses are going to be f/1.8. They will probably also cost as much as the dslr 1.4 versions. This alone made me look the other way.
  17. Oh you're fine; it is plenty sharp for what almost everyone will use it for. Pretty much all content is consumed on cell phone screens now. The extra room to play in post will be amazing with the drone. I will inevitably get one at some point for it's portability.
  18. Second to last img is mavic 2 pro. It produces a great "cinematic" 1080p image in 4k mode ?
  19. I don't know why I didn't realize this before, but I have much more noise while shooting in 4k (especially 4k 60) than 1080p 24 or even 1080p 120. I just watched some of my videos on YT and the last few I did were 1080, where I didn't have any issues with noise. I guess the sensor cropping to 4k has some sort of impact on noise. I started doing 1080p out of laziness (don't have to convert the mjpeg to prevent banding etc) and the fact that most view on mobile. I do have to say though, the 4k out of this camera really is amazing. I hope that when Canon does make some mirrorless FF, its on this level. I also really hope that they have a shutter lock out when changing lenses, unless a manual cleaning option is hit in the camera or something. I have used mirrorless before, I literally had the sensor cleaned that day, changed a lens in the field and had footage ruined from sensor dust that happened with a quick swap. Every channel I see using a mirrorless, has sensor dust on at least one out of 3 videos haha.
  20. I was really looking forward to the mavic pro 2; sold the air, as I thought this would be miles better. I haven't been impressed by footage I have seen so far. Unless everyone who has made a video on it so far has messed up, it looks very very soft. The massive sensor cropping or pixel binning hell, isn't really what I had in mind. The P4P quality looks so much better sadly, I really don't want to cart a drone that big around when I travel though. Maybe an unsharp mask can fix it enough, I guess time will tell.
  21. I was forced to take an art appreciation class in college, it actually made me understand how important the scores to movies are. The sound design is massively important, I just doubt I will have time to become a master at it. Hopefully I will still have time to make stuff I find interesting once I finish school & get into a career.
  22. If you have a cinema camera! But not 8 bit Sony 1080p on an A series imo. I really wish Sony would make their 1080p better in their non cinema cameras.
  23. The best is the people that purposely grade their footage to look like log & post it to YouTube as cinematic footage : ) haha. I see a lot of this now.
  24. I think I actually had seen that vid, or one similar awhile back. I will give it another look! Thanks
